Angelina's POV

"Shoot me! I dare you." The man spat the word out like venom. Although I wouldn't listen to him even if he begged me, which he has for the past half hour, I wouldn't pull the trigger. I knew better.

"No." I whispered. The man began to laugh hierarchically. A man, sixty-eight years of age, living alone, and cat-calling on the streets of London. I never cared to remember his name, yet I almost felt bad for him. Almost.

"No, she says. You don't want answers, and now you won't kill me?! What's the point of abusing me then?!" His eyes were bloodshot by now. I flashed a quick smile before his head was on the cold, metal floor. Blood scattered like mice in a kitchen.  Seething my blade, I picked up his head.

"My Dear, I never said I wouldn't kill you." I lowered myself to his body, placing his head back on, "I just merely wouldn't shoot."

"My Love, I am home." I spoke cheerfully with a false, male voice as I entered my house.

"Oh, Angie, I missed you so!" Effie, my younger sister, yelled dramatically as she hugged me. I rolled my eyes as she giggled and jumped onto the couch.

"Didn't burn the house down? Surprised."

"Haha funny." She said in a monotone, sniffing the air. "You need a shower lady. Why don't you quit working at that old, meat place and just become a waitress?"

"It's not that easy." I sighed, and mentally cursed myself for having to lie to her again. I'd tell her the truth, but I don't want her to be involved in anything that'll get her killed one day.

"Why? You're hot, you could pull off a perfect waitress!" She threw her hands in the air. "Seriously, no incest. I mean it, you're really pretty Angie."

"You're a beautiful girl, Effie. Don't get hung up on what guys think." She rolled her eyes as I patted her head. "By the way, you don't have to be 'hot' to be a waitress."

"Yeah, yeah." She shrugged me off.

The news blared through the television speakers when Effie turned them on. I walked out of the bathroom just in time to have a quick reunion with my previous encounter.

"Hi, I'm Sandra Yevetsi from Channel 7 News coming at you live from the warehouse just off the street from the Capital."

"Sis, you really shouldn't watch the news-"

"But look! Another murder! They just keep getting closer Angie, should we mov-"

"There's no need. You're safe as long as you're with me, okay?" I gave her a hug and heard a muffled agreement. "Good, now bed."

"No!" I rolled my eyes. "Please, can I just watch this one?"

"No. Bed, now." She huffed in defeat and headed to her room. I turned down the volume, but couldn't push myself to turn the TV off.

"Murder? We think yes! Sandra, how many murders would you say have occurred in this town now?"
