**flashback: after Vanessa heard Andrew confessing to Veyra**

"...she left." 

The older sister murmured quietly as the she stopped beating the guy lying under her. 

"What the hell you were thinking? You purposely lied and made her listen to that nonsense?!" She grabbed his collar and glared beneath him.

The blond man is simply calm and smiling gently to her.

"I do adore you. I'm not lying."

"Do you think I'm blind?" she asked, tighten her grip as she was annoyed by his sweet words that sounds sarcastic to her. "I knew men enough to see what they feel when they approached my sister. And even if I don't, just seeing your attitude to my sister is so freaking obvious already."

Yes.

Anyone can see how so obvious this guy named Andrew totally fell head over heels for Vanessa. Except Vanessa herself, maybe. Vanessa did know Andrew adores and cares for her but not in that way. Even when Andrew himself doesn't particularly hide his feelings, it was just Vanessa herself who thinks he loves her as a family. She is just that kind of person after all. Innocent.

The older sister, Veyra, is the complete opposite of the innocent younger sister. She went around to the part of the world that her sister never touch. She saw and deals different types of people that couldn't be seen normally in everyday life. Everybody knows that this world is harsh and ugly. Everybody knows that. But it doesn't mean they know the full details of the horrible things that is happening in this world. 

They don't. Vanessa doesn't. Veyra did. 

Hence, it's natural for her to protect her younger sister from all the dangerous threat.

One of the potential threat that is currently nearby her dear younger sister is him.

Andrew.

To be honest, Veyra doesn't think him as a threat to Vanessa. The man beneath her is undoubtedly sincere. Even when he had all the advantages to be close with her younger sister who also hold affection to him, he never crosses any line and simply doing all the good deeds in orphanage. He truly cares for her well-being and her environment.

But.

"What about you?"

"Hah?"

He touched her cheek with his finger, still smiling.

"You knew your sister. But what do you see when I see you instead?"

But now Veyra knows.

"You ignored how I feel when I see you. You set your sister happiness as your first priority. Hence, you also ignore your true feelings as well."

"....?!"

Surprised by his remark, she immediately slap his hand out of her cheek and going for another hit to his face.

But now Veyra knows. He is not a threat. Not to Vanessa.

It's her.

He is a threat to her.

"?!?!"

Her punch was stopped.

'He stopped me?! I'm sure I used all my strength..!'

Veyra is not a mere fighter as she can see her opponent's ability and strength. Physically, she should be stronger than him yet he stopped her attack with ease? She is not that stupid enough to be deceived by her opponent's strength!
