Chapter Twelve

Juvia had only seen Lucy's text message the day in question, but she decided to go. She enjoyed the amusement park. Juvia dressed for the weekend adventure in a pair of low rise, jean shorts enhancing her round butt and hourglass figure. To match, she wore a simple blue tank top that complimented her busty chest. It was still quite warm, so she dressed appropriately. "Juvia! I'm not kidding! We're late!" Jellal called from outside. Juvia rolled her eyes, putting her shoes on and heading downstairs, out of her door to meet him. "Stop shouting! I'm here, aren't I?" She rolled her eyes. He glared at her, grabbing her hand and dragging her to his car where he practically threw her into the passenger seat. Juvia huffed as he hopped in the car and basically stomped on the gas. They arrived at the park in 10 minutes, Juvia hopped out and they went to the entrance to meet their friends. Since the beach day yesterday, Juvia's thoughts were clouded with Gray. His scent, the firmness of his shoulders, his cold touch on her skin. She couldn't forget it, he turned her world entirely within just a few moments. She craved him and ultimately this made her more nervous to see him now. As they approached the group, Juvia smiled as she caught sight of Gray. He looked handsome, her eyes obsessed over his perfect facial features, and his broad shoulders, even more for- a girl on his arm? Juvia stopped walking, standing still as she stared at Gray with confusion before recognising the white hair girl on his arm as Sorano, Juvia remembered her to be his girlfriend. She frowned deeply, making her displeasure obvious. She approached the group, sharing eye contact with Gray before turning away from him. Juvia knows that their encounter doesn't necessarily mean they are tied to each other, but bringing his girlfriend out the very next day? That was just dirty.

"I wanna go on the ferris wheel." Juvia said loudly. "The ferris wheel! That sounds so fun, doesn't it, baby?" Sorano chimed in, looking at Gray. Juvia stayed silent as she watched Gray happily agree. "Sure, sounds good." Lucy said, followed by a nod from Natsu but unsure looks from the rest. "I want to go on the rollercoaster." Levy said with a bright smile, Gajeel nodded along with her plan, as well as Jellal, Erza and Lisanna. Laxus and Mirajane were off to see the aquarium. They had agreed to regroup a few hours later and so off they went.

As Juvia, Lucy, Natsu, Gray, and Sorano waited in line for the Ferris Wheel, there was an awkward tension in the air. Originally between Gray, Juvia and Natsu because he knew the situation between them, but then between Lucy and Natsu as well. Sorano was the only one who seemed oblivious to the tension. Juvia stayed silent, her arms crossed as she stared off into the distance. "Juvia, Juvia!" Gray nudged her with a slight whisper shout. Sorano had let go of his arm to chatter with Lucy and Gray took this as an opportunity. "What do you want?" Juvia said, a foul tone in her voice as she avoided eye contact with him. "It really isn't what it looks like, please believe me-" Gray whispered, causing Juvia's head to snap at him. "Not what it looks like? It looks like you fucked me yesterday and brought your girlfriend to introduce today! I have nothing to say to you." Juvia whisper shouted back, as they reached the front of the line, Juvia was instructed onto a carriage. Gray groaned in frustration as Natsu and Lucy were supposed to join her, but he instead cut before them and hopped in her carriage. "Sorry." He mouthed to Natsu. Sorano confusingly called out for Gray to get off, and that he was on the wrong carriage until the ferris wheel started moving. In the next carriage, Natsu and Lucy entered and Sorano opted to sit out and wait on the ground for Gray. "What are you doing?!" Juvia yelled, as she sat on the bench, with Gray sitting in front of her in the carriage. "Please, just let me explain." Gray insisted, Juvia scoffed, looking away from him and crossing her arms. "I know it seems like I brought her out here and forgot about yesterday, but I didn't! I promise you. Angel- Sorano showed up to my house late last night as a surprise. I will break up with her, when she's leaving." Gray assured, accidentally slipping and calling her Angel instead of her name. This ticked Juvia off, she stared at him in disbelief as the ferris wheel slowly rotated. "Did you just call her Angel? Are you serious? You'll break up with her when she leaves? You're unbelievable, Gray!" She argued back, feeling fury from his words. "Don't break up with her for me, because I won't beg for you! That is your decision." Juvia stated. "What happened yesterday, was a mistake. That is obvious now." Juvia said, Gray growled, irritation growing as he shook his head. "That's not true. You do not mean that." He argued, reaching forward and grabbing her wrist so she would look him in the eye. "You cant mean it." He reinforced, tugging her forward and harshly pressing his lips against hers. He was trying to convince her that their connection was not a mistake, Juvia faltered, melting into his lips as she inhaled his scent, kissing him back in a moment of weakness before coming back to her senses and pulling back as the Ferris Wheel came to an end. "I'm sorry, Gray." She said, walking out before him. Gray tilted his head in disappointment as he sighed, dragging himself off the ferris wheel, giving Sorano a lame excuse for leaving her behind as he watched Juvia storm off.

While Juvia and Gray's carriage was filled with argument, Lucy and Natsu's was deafeningly silent. This is mostly because Natsu was doing his best to not vomit there and then, holding his head against the open window with a pale expression. Lucy pitifully sat next to him, patting his shoulder as the ferris wheel moved painfully slow. "There, there." Lucy said, patting him. Natsu being too weak to respond, just groans out of the window. "Natsu, why would you come to the amusement park when you know you're so motionsick" Lucy said with a giggle. Natsu groaned, breathing heavily as he spoke through exhales. "I... thought this... was a date... so I... came for... you." He said, clutching his stomach as he suffered. Lucy blinked in surprise. "For me..." She muttered, looking at the salmon haired man. "Natsu I really had no idea you wanted to go on a date... you could have just asked. I would have said yes." She giggled, Natsu tries to respond but instead turns to the window to hurl out. Lucy smiles as the ride finally comes to an end and she helps Natsu onto solid ground. He sighs in relief as he sits on a still bench. "Thank you..." He said weakly as she handed him a bottle of water. He took a sip, before pausing and saying "So... do you want to go on a date with me?" He asked. Lucy blinked before breaking out into a chuckle and nodding. "Yes." She confirmed.
