True happiness comes with what we achieve through our own effort

After the result i came home. Every one is so happy that I'm going to become doctor in few years. That too I'm the first doctor in our family. So every one is so happy. Neighbours friends all. That is what i thought. Some may not be happy because of jealousy but i dont care about those people.

Finally its the day of counselling and I'm too excited to attend counselling.
I, my mom, dad, bro and Rishi attended counselling. Rishi is just like our family member and he is the one who did encourage me to try once. How can i miss him on the day of my dream achieving day. So we all went. I opted the college i want. Later We enjoyed the whole day.

Its only few days left for me to stay at home. And i packed my luggage.

We all went to temple near by our village. My father asked me to get things done  by myself with out depending on our family members.

He said "veda from now onwards u have to learn that u will be alone over there. Even though rishi and his family will be in that city u have to manage ur own u must not depend on them for everything. So start from here."

It made me feel a little bit sad that i have to stay away from home for those long years.. i have been in hostel during the past year but this time its not just one year. Its for 5 and half years. But its my choice so i must not feel bad.

After few days we went to the city at which i opted the college to study medicine. I went to rishi's home. There aunty invited us well. But uncle seems a bit annoyed with our presence. Its not said but i can feel that he doesn't want us to be there. I didnt pay much attention to him. Because aunty and rishi seems to be happy. And i thought may be its my false perception regarding uncle. Thats what i thought.

I came to here, when im in childhood. But now here iam going to live in that city for almost 6yrs. I do love that city and im happy to be in that city

After having lunch we went to college.  There i met a girl who is living in neighberhood of rishi's house. Aunty talked to her sometging and said "my friend's daughter also got seat in that college. Il come to ur house with her."

"Yah.. Aunty! You are always welcome" she said with a smile. She is short and fair with spectacles. She looks simple and reserved. I dont know whether i can become friendly with her r not. She left from there by saying bye to us.

There in the college im eagerly waiting for my medical examination. In the mean time i have seen lot of people coming like me to join. After my examination im waiting near principals office where i met a girl who is walking here n there. She is short, thin looking anxious  and pale.  After few minutes her eyes met mine. Then she stopped walking and sat beside me with a smile.

"Hi! Im sesha. Whats ur name?"

"Hi im veda".

" R u local person r hostler? "

"No iam going to live in hostel and u?"

"Im a local person only but my home is far from here. By the way..What is ur rank? From which college u r from..."

With that our conversation continued for few more minutes. Later she got call from principal to enter the room. She said "shall we both take a room in hostel if possible?"

"Yah sure. Im so happy to be with u thank u" i said with heartful smile. Then she left to principals room.

After few minutes, i got call from principal room. Then i entered. Its such a huge room. With full of pictures of old principals of the college. At one side of the there is a long table surrounded by chairs which seems like a meeting place. It feels so amazing to be in that place.

There our principal sat in the chair and asked us to sitdown in the chairs infront of table. He seems soft and pleasant person. His smile made me feel like iam at home. He assured us that there will not be any ragging in college premises.

After that we went to join in hostel. I have seen rooms. they seem k. Not as bad as i expected. So finally we registered for hostel. Then we reached home.

In the evening, while im watching tv, rishi's mom said " how about we go to  meet Asritha?. She indeed is a good girl and u both can be good friends."

"Who is that asritha?" I asked.

"The girl whom i met at ur college. She lives in our neighborhood."aunty explained.

"Yah i got it now. K aunty lets go" i stood up. As i really want to meet my classmates.

After entering asritha house, she welcomed us with smile. Then aunty told about me" asritha! Juz please take care of her. Veda is such an innocent girl that she is too much afraid of ragging"

Hearing those words.. whattt?? Who??
Am i afraid of ragging?? Aunty r u talking about me.?

Asritha said" don't worry aunty. Here the seniors are so friendly. No need to worry about ragging. I will just take care of her."

Hearing that answer i rolled my eyes.. Ohh woww!! How do u know that seniors wont rag even before joining?
What will u do if they rag u instead of me??

"When r u going to class tomorrow morning? Veda is a too anxious person. If u say its 7am then she will wake up at 5 am in the morning."

My eyes bulged out. Whattt?? Omg!! I juz cant control my laugh aunty please stop the bluff..

"Can u both be able to go to college tomorrow?" Aunty enquired

"Yah aunty! my father also accompanying us till college. We will start by 7:30 am in the morning. It will take atleast 1 hr to reach college. so better if we start by 7:30am" asritha said.

"K. Asritha just take good care of her. We will meet u later. "

With high self control, i tried my level best to stop laughing. Finally i spoke " nice to meet u asritha. We will meet u tomorrow. bye. "

"K bye. Meet u tomorrow" asritha said with same smile.

I and aunty reached home. I just couldn't stop my laugh anymore. So rolled on bed laughing at the words aunty spoke to asritha.

"Haha.. ha.. ha.. au..nty.. am i afraid of ragginggg?? Hah.. ha ha.. hmm do i woke up early in the mng ? That too at 5am.. ?? Hahah.. "i laughed loud with hand on my abdomen as i couldn't stop it.

"How can u say so much lies aunty?? "

"It will not be good if i say veda is such a lazy fellow. That she cant wakeup early in the morning like that na. "

"But it will be worst if she came to know the real truth."

"By that time she will be ur friend na."

With that i smiled. Yes she might be close.

Tomorrow mng i need to wakeup early. Atleast on first day wright.? Hope i will get a great friend here.
