Thousands of people gathered around the Carta Tower to protest against Jace's wrongful termination of over 600 people. News outlets were reporting the chaos that was unfolding in front the building. Carta's reputation was being tarnished by Jace's actions and there was nothing I could do. People screamed and marched with signs all over the streets of New York in attempt to catch the attention of the new CEO. Police and many city officials flooded the streets in attempt to restore peace within the hundreds of angry people. They had every right to be angry however. Families were about suffer, people were about to be homeless, and ultimately the economical stance of Carta was going to crash. Everything my father worked so hard for was disintegrating right before his eyes.
My father and I attentively watched the news as this mess developed. His face was steaming with anger and defeat as his trust towards his son was ruptured. Why was he doing this? I grew frustrated and completely guilty for letting this company fall into wrong hands. Now it was too late to do anything.

"I knew I shouldn't have trusted him!" Sebastian said as he ran his hand down his face. He was completely overwhelmed.
"I don't know what has gotten into Jace. He's going to ruin everything!" I remark.
"I can't believe how reckless this boy is. How could you simply terminate so many people in a blink of an eye. People who have worked hard and diligently throughout Carta's ups and downs. It breaks my fucking heart!" Sebastian growls.
Nauseated by the chaos that was unfolding, I get up and walk to my bedroom where I had left Kaylani to rest. I noticed how much she was swollen now that she was due any day. I had to stay attentive and vigilant because at any moment, our twins were about to come into this world.
