In Case You Didn't Know

Probably the shortest fic I have ever written but I came up with the idea quickly after listening to 'In Case You Didn't Know' by Brett Young. So if you want look it up and have a little listen.

"I can't count the times I almost said what's on my mind, but didn't. Just the other day I wrote down all the things I'd say but couldn't"

Dec read the sentence over and over. He knows he shouldn't be but he couldn't move his eyes from the page. He flicks back threw the pages desperately trying to find what was written before Ant got home. Deep down he had always known he loved him but was always too scared to tell him or even admit it to himself. Now he was sat stupidly reading his best friends notebook hoping he wasn't seeing things and these words were actually on the page.

"I'm crazy about you. And I'd be lying if I said that I could live my life without you. You've got all of me, I belong to you Declan. You're my everything"

His heart started to pound in his chest as he read the last few words. Ant felt the same and they had both been stupid enough to ignore it. Quickly he shut the notebook and placed it back where he found it. Just in time as he heard the front door to their shared flat open and close.

The way Ant looked when he had, had a few to many. The goofy grin spread across his face. His eyes slightly glazed over, he looked far younger then his years but to Dec right now he was the most adorable human being he had ever seen. He stumbled slightly along the hallway completely unaware of the discovery Dec had made.

Ant stopped in his tracks as he saw his best friend staring at him from the doorway. He wasn't sure if it was the second glass of wine that did it or his own imagination but he could see the lust in the smaller mans eyes. Before he know it Dec was walking towards him. No words were said they just looked straight into one another eyes.

Dec moved his hand up and gently placed it on Ant's slightly red cheeks. He reached in slowly before gently kissing the taller boys lips. There was something about the kiss, it was just so normal, so natural to them both. As if they had done it a thousand times before. "You had my heart a long long time ago" He breathed pulling away not breaking the eye contact. "In case you didn't know".
