Chapter 8: Tails' nightmare

This is one of my ideas.

So about not doing this sooner. I'm still in India so we have A LOT of visitors coming to see us，so I hardly have any time to myself.

Over the next few days，Team Sonic have been doing okay.

Egghead still attacking，but okay.

Unfortunately，the local people still give Tails dirty looks，but after the see the threatening glares from Sonic and Knuckles，they immediately look away.

'That's what you get for hurting Tails，you jerks' thought Sonic and Knuckles.

Team Sonic also were now good friends with Dr.Fisher. If it wasn't for Dr.Fisher，then Tails may still have been bullied.

...But didn't stop the nightmares that came afterwards...

After a few days since the incident with the local people，Team Sonic were all in bed one night after a tiring day of battling Eggman.

But then suddenly，Tails started struggling in his sleep...

He was having a nightmare...

In Tails' nightmare，Tails' POV...

I opened my eyes. I was back on the street in the daytime.

Then suddenly，the local people started beating me up.

I screamed in pain. I screamed Sonic and Knuckles' name. I knew that they would come and save me.

Then I saw them Sonic and Knuckles.

I smiled. I knew they would come.

But wait. They look...angry. Why?

Then，Sonic kicked me in the side.

I yelped in pain. "S-Sonic...wh-why are you..."

Then I heard Sonic say "Because I hate you Tails! I've always hated you. I can't stand you!"

My eyes widened. Sonic didn't hate him. Did he?

"N-No. You always said that you care about me. That I'm your brother." I said in a scared voice.

I then heard Knuckles scoff "You little freak. Do you honestly think that Sonic and I actually care about you? We only put up with you because you can fly so we can use you for that."

I was shocked. Did Sonic and Knuckles mean that? Was I just a tool to them?

I then felt Sonic and Knuckles start to punch and kick me.

I screamed in pain as I stuttered out "P-Please...S-Sonic...Knuck-les. W-Why are you doing t-this?"

Then Sonic and Knuckles started listing all the bad things about me as they continued to hurt me.

"Cos you're a freak Tails!" punch

"You're a nobody!" kick

"You're just a crybaby and a coward!" punch，kick，punch

Then I heard Sonic say the unthinkable.

"You're not my brother，YOU'RE A FREAK OF NATURE!"

I gasped.

They were right. I am a freak. I am a nobody. I'm worthless. I don't deserve to be Sonic's brother!

I started crying as a felt a punch from Knuckles and felt my ribs crack.
