The Golden Hour

Chapter One

Kadence woke up a little past 5:00 A.M. just as the sun was rising. She knew there was something different. It was more peaceful, the place she settled into last night was the back of a coffee shop. Now it was a beautiful, crystal filled cave. The only sound you could hear was the rush of water from the river near by. Kadence felt confused, but she went along with it.

She later made her way out of the cave and realized she was somewhere different. As Kadence stepped into the outside world she felt inquisitive. She wanted to find out more about this place she had awoken at. Kadence stepped in a puddle without a warning and got her shoes wet. 

Kadence saw buildings in the distance. She decided to go explore them. Kadence later arrived and saw many mythical creatures, humans with wings, humanoid animals, and unexplainable things.
Kadence was in terror. She ran away as far as possible until a dragon being stopped her. This was no normal dragon. It was a anthropomorphic dragon in the name of Professor.
"Are you okay young child?" said Professor.
"How are you walking on your hind legs? And how are you talking?"
"It's a long story."
"I want to know"
"Come to my library and we can talk about it" said the Professor while walking away.
