Becoming the Alpha (Unedited)

The Beginning

Hi, I'm Jessica. I'm 16 years old and a junior at Charles and Logan Private School. Today is the first day of my junior year and I can't wait to rule the school, like last year, and all the other years before now.

Jessica's POV

I woke up this morning with a huge smile on my face. The sun slowly rose up over the mountains that towered about the city. The view always amazed me especially when the beautiful sun rise comes over the mountains producing a beautiful array of reds, oranges, pinks, and yellows. I slowly got of the bed pulling back my red satin sheets and black rose duvet. I grabbed my red silk robe and put it on make sure to tie it up in the front so I don't have another incident. Which triggered a memory from a time i didn't.

Three doors down her dad shivers as someone thinks of a very embarrassing moment they have encountered with him. He shook his head one of the worse powers you get when you become the Alpha. As he sat in his room reading the book The True Alpha.

I open my balcony doors to a view that only the gods could dream of. It made me think if a quote from mg favorite book "The sun blooms on the horizon, golden petals stretching ever outwards into the rich blue. It is the brilliant flower of the sky that warms our days. It is the invitation to a new day, that sunrise so ordinary extraordinary." I smiled and looked out on Lyoonesse. This place has been home to me and my pack for generations. We have devoted our lives to protecting ungifted or The shadows to a world that most mortals don't know anything about. I looked out in the direction of my high school which reminded me that it was the first day and that's why i dared get out my bed so early. I walked back into my room and grabbed my phone checking my social media. But like always my alarm went off and i knew it was time to get ready for school. I shut my phone off and decided to just sit there and think. I sat there for a good ten minutes thinking about how I'm going to rule the school this year. I couldn't help the small smile creeping up on my face. Not only was it the first day of school but it is also a chance for me to prove myself not only on the field but in the classroom too. I stood up and that's when I felt myself turn cold as i looked at my phone to check the time. I saw the pack news and it reminded me that today was The New Leadership Ceremony. I will be getting my alpha mark from my father and the Chain of Command in my family will change. This was my step into adulthood. I couldnt believe it was finally here the day that every aloha candidate looks foward too but enought with that thought i need to get ready for school. I looked in the mirror at my long curly blonde hair, trying to figure out what to do with it. I don't have time to worry about that though as my second alarm goes off and I know if i am late one more time I'm going to get in so much trouble with mom and dad. I walked over to my chest of drawers and pulled out a red and black lace Victoria Secret bra and panties set. It was my favorite and wpuld definetly go well wth what i had planned to where to school today. then I headed to my bathroom to have a nice warm relaxing bath. While I was taking my bath my father zinged me and told me to come downstairs once I'm finished getting ready. I took off my Victoria Secret booty shorts and my pink tank top. I walked over to the bathroom walking past my full body mirror. I could help but stop and stare in the mirror and think "Damn, I look sexy".

I took a glimpse of myself in the mirror I slowly stepped into the bath letting the warm water take me. After about twenty minutes I got out of the shower and grabbed my towel and dried my slightly wet hair. I walked out of the bathroom and went to my closet. When I got to my closet I pulled out a pair of black skinny jeans and a white V-neck t-shirt, and my varsity jacket then I walked over to my bed and laid my clothes down admiring my body one more time then I put on my clothes and headed downstairs. As I was walking to the kitchen I could hear talking going on but it all stops when I walked in. I was greeted by my pack with huge hugs and smiles. Then at the end of the line stood my mom and dad.

I said "Good morning Mom and Dad". My dad looked at me with a stern face and said you are late. I smiled and said sorry dad. He then signaled the rest of the pack to head for a morning run and combat exercise before heading off to school. They left without complaint leaving me and my mom and dad alone. My mom and dad smiled and right then and there I knew something was up. My mom walked over to the microwave and pulled out my favorite breakfast. After I finished eating all my food I put my plate in the sink. When I turned around I saw my dad and mom staring at each other talking through their mate mind link. I started to head out to the back door where the rest of my pack was head out a moment ago. I started feeling light-headed and dizzy the next thing I know everything went black.
