Chapter 8

Hello All! I have finally written a new chapter...I'm sorry that it isn't very long but it is the best I could do for now

We all arrived home tired from what seemed to be an eventful day at school. Brent and Sophie were playing cards on my coffee table in my living room...giggling like little children. They had packed their stuff in their rooms. We had two guest bedrooms. Brent, Mason and Ryan were sharing one room and Sophie and Mia were sharing the other. The twins were unpacking their stuff and I hadn't a clue where Ryan was.

I was sat at the kitchen table looking through a recipe book trying to fin something easy to cook for dinner. Sadly I was still bound to my wheelchair whenever I needed to go a long way which was really getting on my nerves. In lessons its fine because one of my friends would move me from the wheelchair to a chair and visa versa. But in the Kitchen it's a little harder. A found a recipe for a stir fry but I didn't have all the ingredients. I figured I needed to go food shopping anyway.

"hey does anyone want to come food shopping with me I will need a hand?" I asked.

"sorry Amber but me and my brother have got to go and see our parents for a bit they need help with something" Mia said as her and her brother emerged from the hallway.

"that's fine anyone else? I asked again.

"me and Sophie will come" Brent piped up and Sophie nodded making me smile. All of us left together and I quickly messaged Ryan telling him we had gone food shopping and where the spare key was.

We arrived at the supermarket. We had a budget of £100 to last us a whole week which sounded easier said than done. Brent was pushing me in my wheelchair while Sophie pushed the shopping trolley.

"ok Soph from this isle we need white and brown bread and some eggs" I said looking down at my list of essentials. She put the things in the Trolley. We continued to do this for most of the isles until we got to the sweet isle. I was ticking things off on my list when I looked in my trolley and noticed four bags of gummy worms and two large bags of marshmallows were in my trolley. I looked at my two suspects giving them a death glare.

"now who would like to explain to me how they got in there" I asked. Sophie pushed her bright blonde hair in front of her doe eyes and Brent turned a bright red colour which contrasted his lightening blue hair. We waited in silence until Brent whispered "please can we have the treats, we will be good guests".

I laughed "hmmm ok" I replied and they both cheered.

We got to the till and paid. I was happy that I didn't get any funny looks from people which made me feel a little bit more confident about myself.

We arrived home and I noticed the door was unlocked. Sophie and Brent helped me carry the shopping in. A sleepy Ryan appeared from the doorway rubbing his eyes. He looked so cute in his pyjamas.

"hello sleepy head" I said gently as I began packing the food away as Sophie and Brent went into their separate rooms.

"hello, do you need help?" he mumbled. I nodded in reply. It was a comfortable silence as we packed the food away. I began to make the stir fry. Throwing in the chicken and then the peppers it was...peaceful and relaxing. Cooking was another one of my hobbies, I learned to cook at a very early age as whenever I stayed at my dad's he was too drunk to cook so I taught myself how to cook easy meals. As I got older I learned to cook much more difficult meals.

I could feel Ryan watching me intently. I had finished the meal and began dishing it out when I felt Ryan's hands touch mine. He removed the ladle from my hand and gently turned me around so I was facing him. Butterflies were zooming around my stomach and I felt nervous and excited . I looked into his beautiful eyes and smiled. I realised that he was leaning in and before I knew it his soft lips were on mine. It was a soft and gentle kiss...nothing more nothing less. Then he walked away and shouted to everyone that dinner was ready.

Hold on a minute...

Ryan kissed me!
