Zayn's POV

I set the plate with two big chocolate chip pancakes in front of Aria, and then one with three in front of me.

"Thanks. I need this. Great pancakes. Just like your mom's." She said.

"That's what i was going for."

"Did you sleep here?"

"Yea."

"Where?"

"The couch." She looked up sympathetically.

"Gosh Zayn, I'm so sorry. You must've been bored to bits."

"Eh, it wasn't that bad. I made myself comfortable, cooked dinner using your food, watched a movie."

"Well, I'm glad you didn't need me to make yourself feel at home." She laughed.

"Well, yenno....I don't know."

"You never did." She said, finishing her pancakes. "I'm going to change."

She exited the rooms and I heard the shower begin to run. The water stopped, and twenty minutes later, she was still in there. I figured she was just hanging out. So, I walked to the door. As I got closer, I heard Taylor Swift music coming from her room. When I leaned my head against the wall, I heards her sobs. White Horse finished, and I walked in at the beginning of You Belong With Me. I began tosing, changing the lyrics.

"You're on the phone with your boyfriend, he's upset, he's going of about something that you said, coz he doesn't get your humor like I do." I smiled at her and sat next to Aria on the bed. I continued. "I'm iin my room, it's a typical tuesday night, I'm listening to the kind of music he doesn't like, and he'll never know your story like I do. Coz he wears Ray Bans and I wear glasses, he wears sweats and I wear Chinos. Dreaming 'bout the day when you wake up and find what you've been looking for has been here the whole time." I held her close and sang on. "If yu could see that I'm the one who understands you, been hre all along, so why can't you see, you belong with me, you belong with me."

I stepped back a bit and looked downinto her green eyes. I wiped the tears from her eyes.

"Do you see yourself, Aria?"

"There's nothing to see." I sighed and pulled a miror out of my pocket. I put it in front of her face so she could see herself. Mascara was running down her tear stained face.

"What do you see?"

"A mess."

"I know what I see. I see a beautiful, strong, intelligent woman who just broke up with a guy who doesn't deserve her. I see a girl who has seen heartbreak, but still smiles. I see Aria. I see a girl who should know that no guy making her eye makeup run is worth it." She smiled at me.

"You didn't have to say that." She said, shyly.

"Well, did it make you feel any better?" I asked.

"Yea, it did."

"Then I had to say it. Anything to see your beautiful smile again." She blushed. "Aria?"

"yes?"

"I want to take you out on a date."

"I'd like that."

"Lunch. Two hours. I'll pick you up."

"Wait? Where are we going?"

"Surprise!"

"What should I wear?"

"Um, wear jeans. We're not going anywhere special. Yet." I said with a wink. "I'll be back soon." With that, I left and drove home. I showered and changed into jeans, a green tshirt, and a gray hoodie. I looked at the clock, and realized I had to go.
