Chapter 9 (Jillian's POV)

The next week passed by quickly. I finished my exams and was free to relax. Holly, however hadn't, but despite her having an exam the following day, we had front row tickets booked to see Les Miserables. Well not really Les Mis, more like Nick Jonas! I was more than nervous about seeing his attractive face again. I wondered if he had forgotten about me already? I had just got used to the fact we would never see each other again but now I was going to. Half excited & half prepared for disappointment Holly & I readied ourselves to make our way to London.

My parents were on their way to France to see a new born baby that a relative of ours had just had so I was looking forward to having no time limit, although Holly had her own. Her parents had strictly told her that she must be back by 10pm to get a goodnight sleep for her exam the next day.

"Jillian! What shall I wear?! I can't believe we're actually going to SEE Nick Jonas today! I have to look amazing!" she screamed so loudly my ears hurt.

"I don't know? Anything? I'm sure he sees hundreds of girls every day." I replied back to her.

"Come on Jilli, why are you being so negative? I've waited for this for so long." She got up off my bed and walked towards me. "WE have been waiting for this for so long." She looked at me.

"I know, I'm sorry. Maybe I'm just a bit nervous?" I laughed it off.

"Well I do NOT blame you babe! I'm SO excited!" She screamed once more.

An hour later we were looking at our reflections in my huge mirror. I was wearing a very feminine dress. It was a cream colour with floral patterns all over it. The top half had a zip running up the middle of the dress. I wore my long blonde hair down covering my shoulders. I had accessorized with my usual heart necklace and had put on some wedges. Holly however had gone for denim high waisted shorts with a red & white striped vest top which had 'Paris' written in black writing across the top of it. Her hair was shorter than mine but a lot blonder. We were both tanned from the good weather we had been having. We smiled at ourselves approvingly, took our first picture of the day and grabbed our handbags.

We arrived in London around midday, memories of that day with Nick came flooding back when we pulled into Waterloo. We then of course headed for the shops and to site see. By 6pm we were knackered. The weather was so hot! We managed to find a reasonably priced restaurant to have dinner at and sat down together.

"Okay so the show starts at 7.30pm but doors open at 7pm." Holly beamed. "Why are you not screaming?" she asked me.

"Sorry I'm just a bit tired.." I said to her.

"Well your going to have to get over that now," she said grabbing my arm. "because we, are about to see... NICK JONAS!"

I waved my hands in the air imitating her and faking an excited scream.

We ate quickly and left for the theatre. Once we were seated, I started to get nervous, which of course, I pretended was just excitement. The lights soon went off and the play was in full swing. Finally, after too long a wait, Nick walked on stage, looking just as attractive in his costume as he had that day in his white tee and jeans. The audience sighed and a few girls let out some muffled screams and laughs. You could tell by just looking around that everybody was here for him. I didn't really pay attention to the play much.. just him. How he moved, the words he said. I was in a daze. As his eyes washed across the audience I saw them focus in on me. I stopped breathing. Nick Jonas was looking at me. Again. I wondered if anybody else had noticed, but just as soon as I thought that thought, he turned away, continuing his acting.

The audience clapped as the show finished and Holly & I turned to each other in our chairs and sighed breathlessly. Holly checked her phone and turned to me in panic. It was 9.22pm. She was already running late. I tried calming her down and got her to check her blackberry for fast trains. There was one, but only one. It left at 9.40pm. How would she ever make that? She began to run towards the nearest tube station. I chased after her but she was running much too fast for me. When I reached the exit of the theatre, she was already far in front of me - she was the best runner when we had been at school after all. I shouted after her, "You run & catch the next train. I'll find my own way home."

She turned around & shouted back, "Okay, I'll text you when I'm on it." And she was gone.

It was then I heard the screaming.
