After leaving Brantley's I go to my house, unload my horses and sit at the pin. Times like this I really wanna call my momma. Then it hits me.
I saddle up my horse Midnight and climb on. As I'm riding I start crying. Midnight must sense I can't be in control right now so he takes it from me. I just let him and I sit back and think.
How could he? Everything we've been through.
We ride up to the stables and I put him up, before going inside. Im sitting there and pick up my phone. I go on twitter to make an announcement.

I make sure to change everything before starting to unpack. I reach a box I hadn't seen since my mom passed, because I kept it put up and never opened it again.
Inside are all my medals. Every single rodeo medal I ever won. Nobody knows, because I never mentioned it so everybody forgot about it but I'm THE Dakota Rose. 6 time Georgia champion and 5 time Alabama champion. I go to my office and decide it's time for all these to go back up.
As I finish I get a call. I answer without looking at the caller ID
D- Hello? CSM- Hi! This is Maggie with Country Stars Magazine, how are you today. D- I'm good, you? CSM- great! I was wondering if tomorrow we could do an interview with you, we're doing one with Brantley next week. D- um.. sure I just have to call my work. CSM- excellent! Thank you! Goodnight
Looks like I have to finish unpacking quick.
I unpack and clean up around the house before jumping in the shower. I do my shower shit and head to bed.
I wake up to my alarm and start getting ready. I get dressed and do my hair and makeup before going to the Barn.

I get to the barn and feed the animals and then head inside. I'm in my office drawing up the divorce papers when there's a knock at the door.
I put up the papers and open the door.
"Hi, I'm Maggie. Ready for the house tour and Interview?" She asks.
"Yes ma'am, where do you want to start?" I say.
"How about the living room?" She suggests so we head there. The give me a mic and start rolling.
"Hi! I'm Dakota Adamson Gilbert and welcome to my home!" I say
"Now Dakota, why are you and BG splitting?" She asks me.
"Well, you see it's really personal and I don't want it on blast yet." I answer.
"Understandable, now is there any personal rooms you don't mind showing us?" She asks.
"Well, my office and bedroom are my personal rooms, along with my downstairs gym. But I'll show you, come on." I say
They follow me to my office first, and I hesitate to open the door.
"This is my office." I say, opening the door.
"What are all the medals from?" She asks.
"I used to barrel race years ago." I answer, after showing them around my office we head to my bed room.

I show them my bedroom and answer their questions again before heading to my gym in the basement. After answering more questions they finally leave and I can breath. I change into my riding gear and hop on my barrel racing horse, Lady.
After I warm her up, I shoot through the barrels. Suddenly my phone rings, and it scares her so she throws me off. I land hard on my back, and lay there taking my phone out of my pockets
"Hello," I answer wheezing and not looking at the caller ID.
"Dakota, we need you to hurry here, there has been an accident." My boss asks me.
"On my way." I say, jumping up and running into the house. I throw on my scrubs and jump in my truck. Great. It won't start. I quickly call ko
"Kolby I need a favor! I need you to take me to work and I'll fix my truck when I get home. Please." I beg him.
"I'm sending somebody." He says hanging up. I keep asking myself who.
Then I hear the truck, Brantley's truck. He pulls up next to me and I silently get in.
"Whats that bruise from?" He asks me staring at my shoulder.
"Lady threw me off of her." I answer.
"Why are you so cold?" He asks.
"Why did you cheat?" I ask him.
"I didn't! I swear on all of our kids life I don't remember doing that Dakota! I was drunk she knocked on the door and I let her in. I passed out, I think she drugged me, and then I woke up to you packing your shit!" He yells.
"It's always an excuse with you!" I exclaim. By this time we pulled up at the hospital so I opened the door and slammed it shut. I walk in and sign in before going to my desk. I grab my clipboard and run to my patients room.
Today is gonna be a long ass day.
