It was like a fairytale dream.
I found myself in a towering castle, looking out a huge window that happened to overlook a fascinating meadow which seemed to contain various strange species of animals and colorful types of plants, both of which I've never seen before.
Blooming flowers, soft green grasses, tamed shrubs, wild roses, flowering plants which seemed to have four-in-one flowers, happy animals with strange but amazing structures, I saw all. It was so overwhelming, and beautiful.
But I had a feeling I wasn't seeing all that this garden had to offer from this window. I longed to get out of this strange castle and into that awesome beauty.
Just then, a guard approached me from nowhere, a "My Princess," he said as he bowed.
I was frozen in shock.
He asked to show me around the castle, what was I supposed to say? I definitely could not refuse!
He started from the "West Wing" where my room was located, or so he said. Going round, from one flight of stairs to another, one kitchen to another, one living room to another, one library or study to another, one fireplace to another.
Strangely, I couldn't see any other living soul around, and I was beginning to suspect that the guard was intentionally keeping some places away from me.
How can this huge castle have no soul in it? I wondered.
Deep within me, I knew someone powerful was around. I felt his presence. But I did not ask any questions.
After an hour, I was beginning to get bored of the very long tour, and I asked to be taken to the garden. The guard vehemently refused.
It took a series of pleading, on my part, to sway the guy.
When I finally got outside, I didn't regret it.
It was like a slice of heaven, here on Earth. I was fascinated. I stopped, to touch everything touchable.
It was during this period that I noticed that my dress had also transformed into a pale yellow sunflower dress, it was lovely and simple.
NOTE: I was putting on my usual jeans, top and jacket before I mysteriously appeared in the castle.
Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, was so beautiful and I wanted to touch them all. The rabbits, deer, antelopes, cats, even the little mice, were all so adorable.
The plants looked like each and every one of them belonged in an art gallery for display, but then; I preferred them where they were.
Suddenly, I heard a groaning sound coming from the darker parts of the garden, which already looked forbidden enough for me not to go there.
I saw a shadow of what looked like a massive boulder, and upon closer scrutiny I also discovered a smaller shadow of the shape of a woman.
Too terrified to look, I picked up my skirts and fled.
By the time I got back to my room, I was so exhausted that I just crawled into bed and dozed off.
The first thing I thought when I woke up from my deep slumber was "That was one hell of a dream"
Sighing in relief, I made to get up from the bed only to find myself in a strange room. Oh God! This is the same room I saw in my dream!
Wait. It wasn't a dream, was it?
Groaning, I got up. The bed creaked, and immediately, a maid rushed in and bowed. I also bowed back from the bed, obviously not used to this type of thing.
Turns out she was my personal maid.
She ran my bath, made my hair, and dressed me up. I refused make up, because I naturally am not a makeup person. She then brought in a laden table, consisting of mostly fruits, which I noted wryly, from the corner of my eye.
I ate and began another survey round the castle. It bore the resemblance to a museum, or so it seemed.
I saw a lot of fascinating stuffs, some bizarre, some awkward, some nice, some not-so-nice, and some, just wow.
But, I was aching, just to set my eyes on that absolutely wonderful garden, once again.
I knew I was lunging for something beyond my reach, but, man is allowed to dream and all that. I mean that statement is not to be considered literally when I said male, because I'm female, but you should know what am saying!
Throughout my excruciatingly long walk, the garden was all I could think about.
I saw just a flash of bright light before my head started pounding.
I then saw myself looking at a school setting where a petite, cute faced, nerdy looking girl was walking through a hallway of lockers looking quite intimidated. People made fun of her, pushed her, laughed at her and bullied her in all corners of the school. It seemed like she had no one to stand up for her. She was all alone. Still, the girl looked so familiar. I squinted at her again...
It took a long minute for me to realize that the girl was me. I was looking at myself.
The only words that my brain managed to squeeze out through the pounding headache was, "What was that about?" before I blacked out.
Vote. And Comment. Pretty Please.
