Chapter 5 - Home, Sweet, Home

September 8th Saturday

I was walking downstairs to have breakfast, since today was a Saturday I was taking my time. As I'm walking I see these older kids bullying a little Hufflepuff first year girl. So I decide to take over.
"Hey!" I say to them, "What do you think your doing?!" I say as they let go of their grip on the girl and she runs to me.
"Who do you think you are?" One of the boys said, he's a 4th year Slytherin.
"That's for me to know and you to never find out!" I snap at one of them. They smirk at me clearly thinking they will win.
"What's your name?" I say kindly to the girl, ignoring the 4th years smirking at me. The girl put a strand of her light brown hair out of her face and said quietly.
"Hunter, Thomas"
"Nice to meet you Hunter, now please go enjoy your breakfast" I saw as she thanks me and hurried off into the great hall.

I turn back to the 4th years,
"Seriously guys picking on first years so uncool" I say.
"Says you" sneered a girl who was tall, with red hair and evil eyes.
"Yes" I say boldly "Says me".
I Look over at the older kids and those sneers are wiped right off their faces. Good.
"You guys really need to learn to pick on someone your own size" I snap at them clearly annoyed.
"Well you need to go back to the nursery where you came from" a boy snapped back.

While this was happening I didn't notice Samuel, Kyra, Fred, James & Chang walking by. I also didn't know that they had watched the whole exchange.

Anyway I was SO annoyed at those brats so I said:
"Why you little-" I started to run towards them wand and fist out ready to strike when... someone grabs me by the waist attempting to hold me back. I realise it's Samuel.
"Please let me go!" I yell attempting to get out of his grasp. Kyra and Chang grabbed my arms and James & Fred were standing in front of me not letting me move. When the older kids decide to leave they let me go.
"Fine" I mumble. "But please can I jinx them?" I plead.
They all look at each other.
"Fine" they say.
"Good"I say and quickly sneak up behind them and cast a silent bat bogey hex. I walk back to my friends.
"Well now that that's sorted lets go have some breakfast" we all go into breakfast watching the older kids suffering from my jinx.

Later in the day I decided to do a bit of reading into..... Voldemort because of what happened last year with Delphi. So I drag Kyra into the Library. We enter the Library and look for the books I'm looking for. And I realise they must be somewhere else! We thought for a bit then we realised it would be in the restricted section! But we need a note from a teacher... We both look at each other, and we know what the other one is thinking.
"To the potions classroom" we chant and head to the dungeons.

Let's cut to the chase. Slughorn gave us permission to borrow books from their. And the teachers won't know because now they have self borrowing devices. We found the books we needed and headed out. I put them in my dorm under my bed so no one would find them and we decided to go down to the lake and hang out with the other girls.

We've been down at the lake for a while now with the other girls, (Victorie, her friend, Dom, Rose, Roxy, Kyra, Me and 2 of Rose's new friends Emma and Emily), talking about the usual. Victorie telling us about dating Teddy, Dom gushing over boys with Emma, Emily and Rose telling them to stop being gross and Kyra, Roxy and I sitting back and listening to the whole thing...
