my phone starts vibrating, signaling that i'm getting a call. i pick up my phone super fast knowing that it's my best friend julianna. i call her jules for short. "hey jules what's up?" i say into the phone. i can hear soft cries through the line. "jules." i speak softly. i wait for an answer when finally she begins to talk. "lexi, i don't think we can go." she cries cries into the phone. "WHAT!" i basically scream trying not to wake everyone in my house up as it is 3:00 in the morning. everything goes silent and i begin to become very upset, me and jules were supposed to go to the weekend rush tour this weekend and i'm guessing her mom can't drive us anymore. "LEXI IM JOKING SHE CAN STILL TAKE US HAHAHA!" she screams loudly into the phone. god i didn't know if i was more upset or angry in that moment. "don't do that to me jules gosh." i spoke sternly. "sorry lex, i know how much you want to meet you boyfriend." she speaks emphasizing the word boyfriend. "stop oh my gosh haha!" i say to her in response. she always teases me about aaron and it really gets annoying sometimes. "whatever but you better get your outfit together girl, it's in two days!" jules says to me. "i know, i know i have it together already i'll be fine don't worry about me. but i have to go to sleep now so i'm not too tired for school tomorrow, you should too." i say sounding very tired. "you're right lexi, goodnight i love you see you tomorrow." jules says. "goodnight love you too!" i say to julianna. i quickly hang up the phone and turn over onto my side. i set my phone down on my night stand and try to fall asleep. once again i can't stop thinking of aaron. but after failing to push my thoughts aside, i fall asleep happy knowing that i'm seeing my world in two days.
