It was like any other day down at the precinct for Nathan. Nathan Jones is a police officer who tends to take his job very seriously. He can normally be found out on patrol, or assisting someone on patrol. The precinct may very well be a second home for him. Although, tonight was going to be different from others. It started normally with Nathan filing some paperwork, yet he saw someone move around outside his office. The building was almost empty, except for a few guys stuck with night shift, so Nathan left his office to follow this figure. They seemed to be trying their best to remain out of sight, yet Nathan slowly followed to see what they were doing. The individual crept into the chief's office and started doing something to his computer. It seemed suspicious enough so Nathan pulled up his gun.

"Freeze!" Nathan shouted out. The figure moved his hands up slowly as Nathan turned on the lights. They were wearing some sort of realistic fox mask along with a bunch of black clothes. The way the clothes clung to the criminal makes Nathan believe the other is a male.

"Oh, afternoon officer. I was just here to do some computer maintenance." The male said with a bit of a sarcastic tone.

Nathan rolls his eyes and replies with a glare. "Sure, in the middle of the night, in the complete dark, and while everyone is downstairs pretty much getting drunker than someone in Vegas."

The criminal just put his hands to his side and chuckles, simply saying "I like that attitude." Now usually Nathan would expect put up with the usual criminal sarcasm but this felt... off. More so than usual. With his hand held firm on the handle of his gun, Nathan kept his focus on the criminal. A soft ding was heard from the computer and the criminal swipes a flash drive before backflipping straight out the window. Nathan checks to see where the criminal is, who had used the dumpster below to cushion his fall before he began running.

"I didn't want something like this tonight..." Nathan growls as he hops down the same route to quickly pursue the criminal. He wasn't about to let this man get away with important police data. Also, stairs bothered him. Nathan pursues the criminal, who takes a sharp turn into an alley. When Nathan begins to follow him into the alley, he was gone. Just malfunctioning lights.

"But... he ran through here." Nathan tried to look through the alley, holding his gun at the ready. The search soon proved fruitless, as there was no obvious escape routes or places to hide. With a sigh, Nathan began to trudge his way back to the station, wondering how he'd explain this all to his boss.

After a long time of vicious yelling, and a mug being thrown towards Nathan's head, he was just sent home as he didn't have a shift today. He wasn't going to let his pride be damaged this easily though. He used his computer to search up some kind of info for the masked criminal. There had to be something. Crunch. A loud noise had cut off Nathan's train of thought. Crunch. It was sounded loud, repetitive and annoying. Crunch. It was soon apparent that it was the sound of chips being eaten. Nathan turns straight around and yells to whoever was chewing loudly.

"Would you please close your damned mouth when eating?!" The criminal shrugs his shoulders, pulling his mask back down.

"Sorry. I was hungry and following you made me skip breakfast." He says, putting the chip bag down.

With a sigh, Nathan turns back to the computer and says "You're fine, I just am trying to find info on a criminal and... wait..." He slowly looks back. The criminal was in his house. The criminal was in Nathan's house, eating chips. With a quick movement, he pulls up the gun he kept hidden just in case. With a calm tone in his voice, the criminal walks up slowly, pushes the gun down, and says

"As much as you are adorable, I didn't follow you just for that." Nathan was now a bit confused. Was he being flirted with?

"I don't deal with criminals... now hands in the air." Nathan growls as he slowly brings the gun back up. He wasn't going to fall for any mind games.
