Poke's POV:
~Three Years Ago~
"Hey Poke." A man in the cubicle behind me whispered to me. I continued on with my work not wanting to get in trouble. "Poke see me after work I want to talk to you." I decide to keep a note of that. I meet him after work. Him being Jonathan Reynolds. He wanted to talk in private. That's when it happened. He brought me to his home and once we were inside he kissed me, I tried to pry off, but I'm not strong enough. He then sets me on the bed. Then he tells me that.
"You have to do everything I tell you to do Poke. Now the first thing you have to do is love me.
EVEN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO."
~Time skip to one year before the letter~
Afterwards Jonathan kept on insisting we were a couple, whenever I refused to do something for him slap or punch. He said if I told anyone my entire family would die. I had no choice, but to let him do as he pleased. I decide to go out with my sister, Elizabeth Dillan, to go shopping for new clothes.
That's when she noticed.
She saw the bruises, the marks, the scars, and the cuts. She saw everything. "Poke who did this to you?! Why did you do that to yourself?!" I started bawling and we got our things and left. My sister took me home and then asked questions about it to Johnathan. "Johnathan, what happened to Poke?" I could feel his glare at me. "Whatever do you mean Eliza?" "It's Elizabeth to you. Now tell me, what happened to her? She has bruises all over her, marks that seemed to have bled, and she's cutting herself! Tell me what the hell is going on!"
She then realized what was going on, all one her own...
"Y-You... You sick f**k! You've been abusing her! Poke c'mon let's g-" She never got to finish her sentence... She was shot, in the heart. "ELIZA! NO!" I started sobbing when Johnathan came over to me. "I'll be back, but you're not getting away with this that easily." With that he left with the corpse of my best friend and sister.
~Out of Flashback~
There was more than one reason I wanted to leave. I wanted change, and I wanted to be free.
