I got a phone call. It was my cousin.
“Caitykins, Guess who” He said in a deep velvet voice.
“Caller ID you idiot, how’s my fave LuLu going?”
“Pretty good, pretty good, Hey got some good news for you.”
“Oh yeah like what?” I said in my cocky voice
“Your fave LuLu’s in the same country as my Caitykins!”
I hung up the phone in hysterics. Was he really here or was he messing with my head. Knowing him, he was totally joking.
We used to be close cousins, you know, next door neighbours. We did everything together. We went to the movies together, shops, beach and everything else! He even tagged along on my first date and became within a bro-mance with my boyfriend.
But times had changed and I hadn’t seen my cousin in years, maybe once or twice after we moved. He talked to me on the phone every day though. So I guess in some ways were still close. The point is, he cared about me more than anyone else ever has. He’s not okay unless I’m okay.

LuLu’s POV
I picked up the phone to dial my cousins number. I usually called her twice a day to catch up, talk gossip since I haven’t been able to see her in 5 years. But all that was going to change.
“Caitykins, Guess who” I laughed in my deep voice
“Caller ID you idiot, how’s my fave LuLu going?” I couldn’t help but laugh. I’m pretty stupid like that
“Pretty good, pretty good, Hey got some good news for you.”
“Oh yeah like what?”
“Your fave LuLu’s in the same country as my Caitykins!” I blurted out and couldn’t stop smiling.
The phone cut out.
“Hello? Caity” I spoke into the phone but she was gone. I stood at the phone for a few minutes thinking she’d call me back. Obviously not so I picked up the phone and dialled her number again thinking of something funny to say when she answered.
