Chapter Two
Nicole P.O.V.
I felt the quick grasp of a hand on my arm, then the smooth tip of a pen gliding across my forearm. When I looked down I saw it, the ten digit number labeled as 'Conner Franta's number' under the number was his name and a small winky face as below it said "Call me later babe." I looked up to meet his eyes but he was already gone, with a sigh I gathered my phone and cup, walking out of the Starbucks.
I walked into the bakery that was down the street, and if you're wondering, yes it's my bakery. I went to culinary school and I opened up a bakery with my absolutely bestest friend in the world! Brianna. Brianna was like five times more beautiful than I was, she had long brown hair that made its way just above her hips. I was quickly pulled out of my thoughts when Brianna started talking to me.
"Think you're coffee break could've been long enough?" Brianna put her hands on her hips, a soft grin on her lips.
"Sorry that this guy-" And that was all I was able to say before Brianna had cut me off right in the middle of my sentence. She had grabbed my arm, seeing the blue ink that littered across my skin.
"You met someone? Is he cute? How tall is he? What color are his eyes? What's his name? Where does he live? How old is he?" Brianna kept throwing out question after question, I just stood patiently until she finally stopped asking questions, a smirk on my face, giggling.
"I don't know anything about him, all I know is..." I quickly looked down at my arm.
"His name is Connor, he is taller than me, his eyes are a lightish shade of green and his had light mocha colored hair. He seemed as though he was trying to be someone he wasnt..." I shrugged softly, looking at Brianna as she just stared at me waiting for me to continue.
"So yeah, I don't know if I'm gonna call him tonight or not.." I spoke quietly, looking at Brianna.
An evil smirk came across Brianna's face, I shook my head.
"You're calling him tonight or else I will." Brianna threatened, and she was dead serious.
"I'll even ask if he has a friend for you." I say, watching as she started dancing around the kitchen.
I honestly didn't plan on calling him but I guess I am now thanks to a certain someone.
I sighed and put Connor's number into my phone under Connor~Guy at Starbucks. I knew Connor would eventually change it to something he'd rather prefer, but for now, he is the Starbucks boy.
After I put my phone in my pocket I was in the kitchen taking out something from the oven as it beep. I heard the door open, groaning because Brianna was out on her break.
"I'll be with you in a minute!" I yelled from the kitchen, forgetting to put the tray down, I walked out, my eyes meeting a familiar pair of green eyes and a pair of brown eyes, I dropped the tray from my hands.
The tray hit the floor, a smirk falling onto Connor's lips, Brianna was right behind them, she was staring at the tray on the floor.
"It looks like you've seen a ghost." Connor teased, looking at me, tilting his head to the side.
"I-I um. I'm sorry for the mess, I'll be back.." I stuttered quietly, walking back into the kitchen, sitting on the floor, groaning quietly, why did he have to be so attractive but so rude.
I was soon joined by Brianna, a goofy smile on her lips, I looked up at her.
"Who's number did you get? His friends?" I teased, smirking softly but to my surprise, she nodded.
