Treated like a second hand class citizen in the home you were raised in
Surrounded by family who were simply amazing
Fast forward and all the flaws flew in
Who knew a child's mind could hide all those sins
The arguments hidden as simply adults talk
Only when adulthood approaches you were brushed off as a second thought
Although your mind was a garden of deep thoughts and advice
Wisdom should not be sought from one with such a simple life
Simple life, simple thoughts
Do not open such a door that may only lead to time wasted
Although wide eyed by the possibilities of life
Open minded, quick thinking, such potential may not be wasted
By those meant to care the most
Heart broken a million times over
Although shattered brought back together much stronger
Tears of fear, tears of anger
Tears of determination to be much better that what was thought of
Mistakes may be made in such an endeavour
But who's life is free from it?
A showpiece is not who I will be
The pinnacle of good behaviour
Goodness is vast, it is rich
It may be found in the most rebellious actions
Think of me what you will
It means nothing.
