I woke up in the familiar hospital room. My head still felt dizzy and my body felt like I had been hit by a train.

My memory from the night before quickly started to fill my mind. The man, his friends, the knife that flew and stabbed me on my shoulder. The drug they injected me. The dizziness. The hopelessness.

I couldn't do anything. How was I supposed to protect myself from them- from the Hunters, when I couldn't even use my Powers correctly. Everything that I had learned from Victor was gone in a matter of seconds. The lessons that were supposed to help me survive were gone from my head and I was not able to retrieve them in order to survive.

I could have been dead. If the shadow behind the men didn't come.

I should have been stronger, I should have paid more attention to my surroundings. I was an easy prey and that was my big mistake.

Tears started to spill out of my eyes. I was weak. I couldn't do anything right. All of this fighting with Victor was for nothing.

A sob escaped me and that alerted the person sitting on the chair next to me. I turned around just to be met with dark green eyes. It felt like deja vu. I smiled weakly.

"How're you feeling, sweetheart?" he asked with his voice so sweet and caring. He looked concerned.

"Like I got hit by a train. My shoulder hurts and my head is dizzy" he nodded and reached for a glass of something that was sitting on the night stand. I chuckled, remembering the first time I was here. He was giving me something as equally disgusting as the liquid in this cup.

"I know, I know. Should I tell you that it will make you feel better or you know already and w just drink it?" he joked bringing the glass to me.

"I'll drink it no need telling me for a second time" I chuckled and drank from the liquid. This one was kind of sweet, but still, I didn't like it.

"Do you remember what happen?" he asked once he sat back on his chair.

"Hunters" was all I said and the tears started to spill again. "God, Chris I felt so hopeless and weak" I buried my face in my hands ignoring the stabbing pain in my shoulder. I heard him standing up and sitting on my bed, slightly pushing me so I could make space for him. Once he sat down and leaned his back on the headboard his hands immediately went around me pulling me close to him.

"You were not weak, You fought them just enough for Bryan to find you. Tell me what happened, so I can tie some loose ends" he said calmingly as one of his hands was caressing my head while the other was holding me tightly against him. I didn't think how this looked right now all I needed was to feel safe. I hugged him tightly and composed myself, the gentle movements of his hand made me calm down just enough to start speaking.

I told him about the men that looked at mine crystal, how we had an argument with Bryan, how I left and met one of the men, the threats, me trying to fight, how they drugged me and I couldn't use my powers.

His hand never stopped stroking my head while I talked when I finished he started talking.

"So here is what we know. Vic got a call from a boy claiming to be your ex. He said that you're badly hurt, bleeding out and rejecting to go to the hospital. He said that you kept repeating Victor's and mine name until you fell unconscious. He got your phone and called Victor. We sped with the car to the bar and found you in very bad shape. You lost a lot of blood. He told me that you got into a fight and you went to the bathroom. Once you didn't return he went looking for you, just to find you on the floor with his three friends around you looking scared. They told him that they found you like this just a minute before he came and that they didn't know what to do. We never actually saw those friends of his, but everyone was pretty much in panic mode for you, so no one paid attention to them. Do you think they were Hunters?"
