About: This is a fluffy one-shot where Hotch is in a relationship with a coworker (reader). The reader gets injured while trying to take down the UnSub. Then Hotch comforts them and helps clean their wounds.

He ran onto Norman Street!" Reid yelled. You make your way down Wielders Avenue and turn right onto Norman Street. The UnSub is nowhere to be seen when you scan the area. You lower your gun as Morgan comes up behind to back you up. "Reid and I both saw him turn onto this street," you explain. Morgan looks around as well.

"He's either hiding or long gone by now," you comment. Morgan furrows his brows. "I'll check the left side, you take the right," he commands. You nod your head and jog to the other sidewalk. You raise your gun and check the first three houses' yards. You notice a bush to your right fairly shake. You walk towards it along one of the blind spots.

Before you even have time to react, a sudden, sharp pain hits you in your shoulder. As you fall back onto to the ground and let out a scream, Hotch runs to your aid while Reid takes down the UnSub. You struggle to crawl towards your gun to pick it up. He moves in front of you and hushes you. "(Y/N), (Y/N), It's alright. Don't worry about your gun. You need to take slow, deep breaths. EMT's will be here soon," Hotch says.

You groan and lay back on Hotch's chest. Through tear-filled eyes you see Reid taking the UnSub away in handcuffs. You move your head into the crook of Hotch's neck and let the tears fall. He strokes your hair and tries to calm you down. He can't stand to see you upset and in pain said he holds the back of your head as he kisses you. That definitely calmed you down.

Soon enough the ambulance arrives and they get you in it on the stretcher. Hotch gets in and stays at your side all the way. He holds your hands and looks at your with a hint of worry in his eyes. "That was very dangerous, (Y/N). You got shot for heavens sake! I want you to be more careful next time and call for back up even if you're just scanning the area," he says.

"Aaron, that's a bit over dramatic don't you think?" You laugh and he glares at you. "Only that last part was dramatic," he chuckles. Hotch distracted you from the pain all the way until you reached the doors to the emergency room. "I'll be right here waiting on you. You'll be okay, I promise," he says. He leaves a kiss on your hand and smiles. Soon after that they wheel you into surgery
