Mitch was very worried about Scott since he left so quickly and urgently. Mitch got up from his couch and went to his room and sat on his bed and started to text Scott.
Mitch:Hey, are u ok? You left pretty urgently
It was read almost instantly but Scott didn't reply.
Mitch:Hello?
Again, read.
Mitch: I know your there, you are reading my texts
Scott:I will explain later
Mitch: But are you ok?
Scott:Yes
Mitch:Your not lying?
Scott:Completely honest
Mitch still felt uneasy about the situation. He went to text him again, but then realized that it was Monday and he unfortunately had to go to work. He is a barista at a Starbucks. He took a quick shower, got changed into his barista outfit then grabbed his keys and went to his car. He started the engine and backed out of his driveway. About 15 minutes later, he arrived at Starbucks. He locked the door and went inside. He took his spot and said hi to Avi, the cashier and one of Mitch's closest friends. "Wassup." Avi said. Mitch turned to him and said."Nothing, you?" Avi replied."Not much." Then Avi started taking orders. While Mitch was making a drink for a customer, he heard someone talking loudly on the phone. He looked up to see Scott, his eyes red and glistening. He placed his order then sat at a table. The look of fear and sadness in his eyes was unbearable. Mitch made his drink and looked at Avi, drink in hand. Avi nodded. Mitch walked over to Scott and handed him his drink and sat down at the table. Scott didn't even know it was him until he finally hung up the phone. He sipped his drink and then looked up at Mitch. When Mitch opened his mouth, he flinched. Mitch closed his mouth, not wanting to scare him. For at least 2 minutes, they were just looking into each others eyes. His eyes, all the happiness and excitement left completely and sadness and fear filled it. His eyes were puffy and his face was red. Mitch decided to try and talk again. "What happened?" Mitch asked in a very friendly tone. Scott shook his head and looked at the ground, tears falling down his face. "I.. can't explain... right now." Scott said, heaving with almost every word. Mitch got up, walked over and hugged him. He was very tense and felt so sad. Scott put down his drink and hugged him back. He really felt like he needed it. Mitch broke away and then walked back to his station. Avi mouthed."Do u know what happened?" Mitch shook his head. After they closed up and were cleaning a few things, Avi said."I think the best thing you should do is just take it slow, you don't want to scare him if it's something personal." Mitch agreed. "Thanks for the advice." Mitch said. "No problem, just let me know what happens." Avi says grabbing his things. "Ok." Mitch says. "Bye Mitchie." Avi says. "Bye Avriel." Mitch says back. Avi rolls his eyes and laughed while walking away. Mitch walked to his car, started it up and drove home. When he got home, he took his outfit off and ran a quick shower. Before going to bed, he was going to text Scott but then he realized he should take it slow, just like Avi said. He got in his bed and went to sleep with Scott on his mind.
