*WARNING: SCENES MAY BE DESCRIBED A BIT TOO GRAPHICALLY. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK*
Its been a week or so, since I last visited Choi's apartment. The photos on Choi's living room wall had completely vanished into thin air. Even with the help of Hoseok and YoonGi, we weren't able to find the missing photos. I didn't expect to be able to find anything, honestly, being that it looked like someone had already ransacked Choi's place before we could. We searched cabinets, the trash, sofa cushions and even the floor boards. If my memory wasn't so crappy, I would probably be able to remember what was written on the back of that picture.
Our only hope, now, was to trap the unknown guy in black. We spent the past three days trying to find this guy in Ji-won's neighborhood. He was a no show, which surprised Ji-won. It's a three day weekend from school, which is perfect for Jimin and I, we can try again since we are out of school. We were all growing a bit worried, at this point. What if this guy was getting suspicious of suddenly? Or what if he was already dead?
The day is Friday. The middle school kids are getting off their school buses. As usual, Ji-won waits by the bus stop for all three buses full of children. Hoseok and Jimin were posing as friends waiting for the public bus, YoonGi and Namjoon were posing as door to door salesmen and I was the lookout from nearest backyard. To make sure we were all in touch with each other, Hoseok, YoonGi and I were in a group call. With everyone in place as Ji-won did his usual duty, I felt that we could catch this guy with ease, if we just stuck to the plan. Only trouble was, we didn't know which direction this guy was coming from?
"I don't see anyone who looks suspicious," Hoseok said to me.
YoonGi agreed, "Same. Namjoon and I have been to three houses already and haven't seen anything, out of the ordinary, near us."
"Just keep an eye out. The last bus hasn't gotten here yet anyway," I said.
Still looking over our shoulders, the boys and I were slowly becoming doubtful of this guy turning up. If he doesn't show up today, we will be out of luck for good. This was the only plan i had left so, it has to work in my favor. I needed this guy's help in finding Choi and putting an end to Jiyong's gang.
"The school bus is arriving," Hoseok said.
Peeping from behind a stranger's house, I watched as the bus stopped in front of Ji-won. The kids got off, greeting Ji-won with hugs and high fives. As always, Ji-won began to walk with the group of children, to each house, nothing unusual. Here and there, I would jump over a nearby fence (which separated the house from the sidewalk, near the main highway) just to see if I saw anyone who looked out of place.
"Two houses down, four kids to go," YoonGi noted.
Growing antsy, I found myself fidgeting a lot and pacing by the house.
"Anything, boys?" I asked.
Hoseok replied, "Nothing here."
"Nada," YoonGi confirmed, "Ji-won is heading our way with two kids."
The neighborhood was quite empty, other than us and the children. The only place that was full of life was the main highway and the sidewalks nearby it. Checking the time, it was close to 5 PM. We all had agreed to return to the drawing board at 6. Becoming impatient and frustrated, I began knocking over flower pots in the backyard.
"Still nothing?" YoonGi asked, "Ji-won is close to the house we are at."
I sighed, "But that's the last house in the neighborhood. Where the hell is this guy?"
"He's a no show again, boys," Hoseok said with disappointment.
I sighed heavily, disappointed and feeling hopeless. I shrank myself down to an ant on the ground, letting my cell fall to dirt and worms, having accepted reality.
