You call me and to you I run,
At your word I'd answer none;
You smile and all the sky alights,
Your face drifts through my dreams at night.
You come by day and steal my heart,
But by night, you must depart;
You won't accept your love for me,
Though mine for you is plain to see.
In my dreams with are as one,
With our love burning like the sun;
But that life is a fantasy,
And so I feel I must decree:
If you kiss and hold my hand,
Then why can you not understand?
And love me just as I love you,
My feelings warm and pure and true.
You call me and I run to you,
At your word I'd answer few;
You took my life and left me poor,
But I'll love you forever more.
