It was a calm fall day at the flat and there weren't any new cases coming in and Mr. Holmes was getting quite irritated. Dr. John Watson, however, seemed rather comfortable in his arm chair watching his friend pace the room with quiet steps, his hands in a pyramid, the tips of his fingers touching the tip of his nose. He was mumbling ever so softly that John couldn't have possibly heard a single word of it. Sherlock finally gave an exclamation of irritation as he plopped down into his arm chair that was just across from John's.
"We need a case john, I need a case!" He said as he looked into the unlit fireplace. He glanced at his watch and checked his phone many times until at about 4:00pm his phone rang and he answered it instantaneously.
"Lestrade, brilliant, you have a case yes?"
Lestrade on the other side of the line had chuckled, "well there's really no other reason I'd call you Sherlock, I mean it's not like you're too keen on social calls, am I right?"
"Quite right Lestrade, now the case!"
Lestrade sighed and relayed the case in it's simplicity, " there's been a many missing persons lately-" Sherlock growled slightly, " that's it? Just a missing persons case?!" He was obviously irritated and Lestrade scuffed and continued, " they've disappeared with out a trace and well I fear we may have missed something of importance. " Sherlock was now looking at the skull on the mantle piece and said quickly and sharply, " I'll take it, give me an address and we'll meet you there at 5 o'clock. " he hung up after Lestrade gave him the address, he put it in his pocket then looked to john and said with a smile, "we've got a rather interesting case on our hands John, get ready." Sherlock walked into the kitchen to grab his instrument kit and then after John had gotten his coat on Sherlock put his on then they went out the door and grabbed a cab and off they went. On the way there they sat in silence, ever since john moved back into the flat with little baby Rosie everything has been rather like it had use to with the exception of the baby. Luckily Molly had wanted to watch Rosie for the day so they didn't need to find a sitter.
They pulled into the drive at the latest victim's house and Sherlock got out, paid the cabby, then went with John inside to meet Lestrade.
Lestrade greeted the two in the living quarters, " ah, good of you to show. So we'll let you have a look around while we step outside. Let me know what you find." He and the rest of Scotland's finest walked outside and as soon as they left Sherlock got to work, looking at every detail and pulling out his magnifying glass here and there to examine different things when he noticed something and called john over, " John, what do you see here?" John walked over and knelt down and examined what his friend had just questioned him about. "It's stone dust." Sherlock smirked and scooped up some of it in a bag, " yes but it's not from any type of stone from anywhere in England." He stood as did john and Sherlock caught something out of the corner of his eye, he walked over to the sliding glass door at the back of the living room. Out in the back yard there was a pretty nice garden with an angel statue in the centre, well at least almost centre, it was just a meeter from the centre pedestal. He took a mental note of it then walked back over to john who asked, "anything of interest out back?" Sherlock shook his head and went to look though out the rest of the house when just a few minutes later john screams,"Sherlock!" And almost instantaneously Sherlock jumped to his feet and ran to the back door where he heard the scream from and he seem john standing in place frozen with the angel's hand wrapped tightly around his wrist and right as john and Sherlock locked eyes, the angel touched john and he disappeared and Sherlock froze in fear.
