It was almost a 14 hour flight from India to London direct. But, she had a stopover at Romania before she continued on to London. Thankfully she had bought a book to read. Her co-passenger was a middle-aged woman, an unmarried one at that.

She looked out of the window to catch the last remaining glimpse of the country that brought her up and tried to accept her but failed to do so

She settled back for the first leg of the journey to Romania. As she read on, she couldn't help but let her mind wander. She had lived in London when she was young. Even as a child, she loved the snow and the picturesque setting of the city. A part of her had actually warmed upto the idea of living there. But, another part of her couldn't accept that she had to study Medicine. She had studied science during high school. She was good at it. She was equally better in performing arts too. She could beat anyone in a language test, played the guitar, was one of the best artists in her school and could sing too. She wanted to have a degree in performing arts. She had even got into a prestigious Art School while waiting for the letter from Imperial. She had felt sheer unadulterated joy at the news. Unbidden, an image of her friends came into her mind. They were genuinely pleased for her. Even though they had applied and did not get in, they were genuinely happy for her. She was grateful for their presence in her life.

Her food arrived. Just in time too, her stomach was rumbling from pangs of hunger. She eagerly dove into the airplane meal.
