The New Guy

"Hi Mrs. Maya. So Lane and his sister told me you 'beat them up'. Is it true?"

"Look, Mrs. Montgomery. Lane and his sister did some... bad.. things to me and I was only defending myself."

"What kind of bad things?" She raises an eyebrow.

She closes the door behind her, leaving Lane outside.

"I can't really remember much of it because I was kind of unconscious. But all that I can remember is that his sister was wearing a mask and Lane knocked me out. Then I remember waking up a little bit and Lane was kissing my neck, aggressively and I remember hearing Colby and-." She cuts me off.

"That's all I need to know."

She starts walking out.

"Come with me." She says. I follow.

She's going towards Colby. I run in front of her and grab Colby.

"She's gonna question you." I say looking at Colby then at Mrs. Montgomery. He nods.

"Come with me students." She says. We walk all the way to the nurse's office which was about three fourths of a mile from the REC field.

"Maya, get on the nurse's table. She'll give you some medicine for your lip and any pain you may be having." I hop up there and the nurse takes out a popsicle stick and puts a clear cream on it.

Colby's POV

"So, Maya tells me that you somewhat know what happened as to why she punched Lane and his sister. Is this true?"

"Yes. So what happened was; I asked Cole where Maya was and he said he thought she was with Sabrina. I call Sabrina over and Maya wasn't with her. So I ran off looking for her." I smile at Maya and she smiles back.

"And then I saw Lane and his sister carrying something covered up. When they uncover it, I saw Maya, bruised and her nose and lip are bleeding. Lane bit her lip and started trying to do stuff to her. I yelled at him to get off of her and he just started laughing at me. I noticed Maya was crying as well. He kissed her neck aggressively and then started trying to unbuntton her top. I got on top of him and beat him up before he could do anything. Then later when Maya saw him and his sister, she did what anyone would've done and hit them."

She nods, then looks down. She pulls out her walkie talkie and radios in.

"Yes. Bring the McCoy twins to the camp discipline office. Thanks."

Turns out she's sending them home. Thank God for that. I couldn't seem to get the fact that I had been..... "treated" like that bed and never exactly realized it.

"You alright?" Colby asks me. Mrs. Montgomery had already left, and we had already walked back to our cabins. Colby decided to come into my cabin to talk to me.

"Yeah I guess." We hug for a moment then Colby breaks it.

"Hey. Go to bed princess. The bon fire ended ten minutes ago."

"Okay. G'night Colby." I smile and Colby walks to the door.

"Good night princess." He leaves.

Sabrina burts in.

"What did you do?!" She looks at me and just starts freaking out.

"Huh?"

"Colby just came out of our cabin. The bed is all messed up. Is- is that his hoodie?! Maya did you-?!" I cut her off.

"Okay. Colby came out of our cabin because we were talking. Second, it was because I messed it up, and third. Yes, yes it is his hoodie. He gave it to me when..... Lane ripped my shirt.... and- Anyway how was the bon fire? I see you were with Cole." I smile. I just have to change the subject. I can't let her know that Lane tried to- I can't.
