The Sistine Chronicles

The birth of a warrior!

And suddenly in a planet across the galaxy, a cry broke through the silence in a village called Clam. It was the crying of a baby who was just born. And thus a warrior was born in planet Gelbo. No one knew or could ever imagine the accomplishments of that child.

"It's a girl" the old man said, everyone surrounding the child's mother were congratulating her. "Now now we should leave Calina rest, please step outside". As the door closed the old man asked Calina, the child's mother, what name will she give to the newborn girl. "Her name shall be Sistine, she might be different from all the rest of us but i know she'll grow up to be a fine lady" Calina said while stroking the baby's head. But it was gonna be a hard and long road for her to grow up. Word got around the village pretty quickly. That the foreigner child was finally born. Sistine was not a full blooded Gelboian. Her other half side was a saiyan, the infamous warrior race of the universe. The cruel murders. So, a lot of people were against the idea of letting Sistine being born. But her mother, Calina, decided to keep the baby.

Almost a year ago, a team of Saiyans landed on planet Gelbo with their space pods. Those cold murders never cared about emotions, they're order was to wipe out all the Gelboians. One of the Saiyans though, decided to have some fun for himself. Unfortunately, Calina was the one that he turned his eye on. Village after village, they would destroy everything in their path. And this time village Clam was next. They started attacking, killing all civilians. Those who tried fighting had the same fate. Blood everywhere... It was a true massacre. Noppal,one of the Saiyans, actually raped Calina. That was really weird for a saiyan to do, but it seems... It was fate. As he was about to kill Calina, they all stopped their attack. They regrouped and headed towards their space pods. "You lucky bastards" one of them shouted. And just like that, they left the planet.

Everyone was shocked, some were relieved but others were crying, since they had lost everything. It took a few days for everyone's mental shock to somewhat heal. They decided to start again, repair what was destroyed and at least try to move on. A new village leader was elected, the old man. After a couple of months, Calina started noticing that she was dizzy a lot and eventually her tummy got bigger and bigger. The news broke out fast... She was pregnant with one of the children of those savages.
"No way"
"What if it turns out to be evil"
"We cannot allow it"
"We need to kill the baby before it's born, there's no other choice"
The old man though disagreed. He supported Calina in the idea of raising the child. "No matter who the father is a baby is a baby, it will be raised like any other kid in this village". Calina's parents also accepted it, they did everything they could to protect Calina from the rest of the village. By time though more and more people accepted it, in the end not many remained against it. Poor Calina, she had just turned 21 years old a few months ago. But in that year, her whole life changed.

Calina gazed upon her child, she wouldn't regret her choice, no way.
"Oh look, she has a tail" the old man pointed out. "Yes, like a saiyan. It's fine though, let's consider it a uniqueness haha" Calina replied to him. The child started growing up, even at a young age she started showing signs of remarkable strength. At the age of five, she was stronger than most of planet Gelbo's inhabitants. Although sometimes that power did not come to good results. She would destroy stuff accidentally quite often. When she turned eight, her grandpa who was a really good spiritualist decided to teach her how to control this power of hers. So for years she meditated every day and she kept getting better at it. At the same time she started training on her own, it seems her saiyan traits resonated with her better now and she kept building up her strength. The people who were against her birth in the first place were getting more and more frustrated. They couldn't shake the thought that someday she'll turn on them. So there was a group of them that tried to kill her. At that time Sistine was thirteen years old, but she was far stronger than them. It was also the first time that she beat someone up. Sure, there were some kids who made fun of her, for her tail or for just being different, but she always ignored them, just like her mother had told her to do. After beating up the four man who attacked her, she realised the huge gap of power between herself and the rest of the Gelboians. She would always ask her mother why she was different but her reply was always the same. "You're not different, you're just special".
While she didn't fully understand what that was supposed to mean, she knew that her mother avoided the subject so she didn't insist. Years passed like it was nothing and she finally turned sixteen, a life changing year that was.

She started paying more attention to herself and her origins. She asked her grandparents but it was the same... They would just avoid the subject. One day she returned home determined to find out the truth. She entered her house, closed the door and approached her mother that was cooking, she said that she wanted to talk with her. Calina couldn't avoid but noticing the flare in Sistine's eyes. She knew that it was time... time to tell her everything. They sat down and Sistine said "Mum I know you don't want to talk about it but I wan-", she was interrupted by Calina "alright, I guess it's time to tell you". She gave a faint sigh and started telling her what had happened years ago. Sistine was shocked while she kept listening everything her mother was telling her. Calina kept talking more and more, about who the Saiyans are, who her father was, how she got pregnant to her, why she's so different than all the rest. In the meanwhile she was crying and apologizing for hiding the truth for so long. She was afraid that it would make Sistine hate herself. That was the moment when her desire for revenge was born. Her father... He was a really bad guy, the Saiyans... They were murders, she wanted to make them pay. She confronted her mother, she said it was ok for not telling her all this until then. But her anger kept growing. This time she was determined more than ever. She trained non stop for days, with minimal breaks. She had to get stronger in order to beat the Saiyans and avenge the village. She requested a spaceship from the old man. He was surprised to listen to her purpose but he knew there was nothing he could do to stop her. The Gelboians weren't a technologically advanced race but far away from village Clam there was the central base of their defense units that was created after the Saiyans had attacked. There, spaceships were build for emergency getaways and for space exploration. Sistine was taught how to control one. And after a year, a strong seventeen year old Sistine was ready to set out and find planet Vegeta, where the Saiyans lived. To take revenge for her people.
