usually on friday nights, college students would either go to parties or bars, or rest at their dorms and play video games. that used to be jackson's life, until he realize he really needed money to sustain an independent life after college, and not to always rely on his parents for money.

jackson has been looking for a side job, but because he needed money, he wanted a job with good pay and maybe a job he doesn't have to do much. weeks has gone pass by and no jobs has caught jackson's eyes or his mind.

now he's more than desperate than ever for money. just as he's about to give up, he found his last hope. jackson noticed that the library near his dorm needed more workers. although this is a job jackson didn't like and the pay isn't so high, but this is his only hope.

so on this fine friday evening, after his history class (yes, even though he's in a sports major he's still taking academic courses) jackson went back to his dorm to put his books back and change out of his uniform. and officially jackson has started the first day of his job at the library.

the first second jackson walked into the library, he regretted this job.

the quietness of the library pains jackson physically and emotionally. everyone knows jackson for his loud and fun personality. and that's true, jackson always wanted to give out his most positive vibe.

for the first hour, jackson was mostly getting training from this upperclassmen, jaebum, who he knew pretty well and they have talked in the hallway once in a while.

jaebum taught jackson the basics that he needed to know at the library, where the books are, how to check in and out books, how to renew books. just the stuff that librarians do at the front desk. since most of the booking sorting were already done by jaebum in the back room. so jaebum decided to teach jackson that once they both have another shift together.

while jaebum was teaching his new colleague, jackson can obviously tell jaebum doesn't wanna be here either. even though jaebum still gets his work done, but once in a while you'll see him pulling his phone out. probably checking if somebody send him a text.

it's been rumored that jaebum is really close with this underclassmen, who's in music major, and in the same grade as jackson. apparently he's really quiet and introverted so jackson has never caught what his name is or what he looks like.

the second hour went by pretty smoothly for jackson. since he's a fast learner had no troubles of doing the basics. (in jackson's mind he's basically just thinking scan barcode no matter what. so literally its not that much work)

but still, he hates the quietness that he was surrounded by.

well it wasn't completely silent since the swishing of the automatic slide door accompanied the students as they walk in and out of the library.

it was more later towards the night so not many people are coming into the library anymore. every time jackson hears the swoosh, his natural instinct would cause him to glance up really quick and see if he recognizes any faces. but quickly going back to whatever he's doing, which is most likely going on his phone.

once again jackson hears the swoosh, he looked up. but this time he didn't go back in his phone, he was staring at the boy who just walked in. the boy who has taken all of jackson's attention away ever since jackson laid his eyes on him.

jackson knew so well who that boy was. during the school day all the students wore uniforms which made everyone almost look the same if they all gather together. but that boy was different, at least to jackson he's different. even in the whole crowd of identical bodies of clothing, he always stands out to him.
