'She didn't want to be rescued?' Sasuke thought.

He looked to the others and saw they were thinking the same thing.

"What do we do now?" Naruto asked Shikamaru who for once looked out of ideas.

"I don't know, for once I just don't know..." he said quietly.

It was then Sasuke noticed Sai was gone.

"Where is Sai?" he asked.

"That bastard, he must have gone after them without us knowing!" Kiba yelled.

The guys got mad.

'Why didn't I think of that?' Sasuke thought angrily.

It was then something dawned on him.

"Naruto didn't you, Shikamaru, Ino, Chouji and Kakashi sensei, defeat those two guys?" Sasuke asked stoically.

It seemed to dawn on them that it was true. Naruto then started to have a panic attack.

"How are they, wait...why are they...wait, what?" Naruto yelled as he ran his hands through his hair.

Shikamaru just seemed a bit shocked and was thinking. Sasuke shook his head at Naruto and sighed. He then slipped away from them and followed Sai's chakra.

Sakura, Kakuzu and Hidan finally defeated their target. He was stronger than they thought he would be. Hidan's arms had been cut off by the target so Kakuzu was stitching him up. Sakura had the target tied up and hanging limply over her shoulder. She was the one to knock him out seeing he was worth more alive.

Hidan would have killed him if Sakura hadn't reminded him about the reward. Sai just watched as they fought on one of his birds. He released his jutsu making his bird disappear and landed in front of Sakura with one of his rare and small, real smiles.

"I told you that you weren't weak," he said to Sakura.

She smiled at him a very sad and weak smile, the first smile since the others showed up but she was back to square one it seemed. With their appearance she had been moved back. A month full of rehabilitation gone down the drain you could say. Sakura sighed and Kakuzu pulled her to him. He took the target off her shoulder and put him on Hidan's.

Kakuzu then proceeded to give her a hug which she accepted gratefully. A few tears slipped from her eyes as she thought of her old 'friends' and he wiped them away with his thumb. Sai looked at her in sympathy and sadness. They then started to head to the hideout. They didn't talk for the longest time.

Once they were halfway to the hideout Sakura said goodbye to Sai and he left. They then proceeded to go the rest of the way but stopped to get their money from the target at the bounty place. Once they got to the hideout Sakura headed straight to her room. She collapsed on her bed and cried silently into the pillow.

Kakuzu continued to Nagato's and Yahiko's office and knocked. Kakuzu sighed as he heard the grunt from Nagato to open the door.

'Well, it's back to square one with Sakura...' he thought as he entered Nagato's and Yahiko's office.

"We got the bounty money," Kakuzu said to Nagato seeing he was the only one there.

He nodded to Kakuzu and he was about to walk out of the door to his room when his name was called.
