I watched the sun coming out of my window while sitting on my bed. I would normally never get up this early, but it was my sixteenth birthday. So I was eager to get a start on the day, but It would be a few hours before anyone was up.

I thought about what that meant in my country it meant I was an adult a man at least in our old custom. In reality that wouldn't happen till I was eighteen, and I wouldn't take title of the king until my dad died. Oh yeah by the way I'm the prince of a small country in the middle of the pacific ocean called Celestela. It's really mostly a title of King since he acts more like a president, but its a monarchy since it goes through the family.

Suddenly a knock on my door brought me from my thoughts. I got up from the edge of my bed and crossed to the door as another knock sounded on my door.

"I'm coming. I'm coming." It had to be my younger sister Grace she was fourteen and a pain. I opened the door and saw her still in her pajamas. I had to admit I was surprised to see that she was normally up and dressed. But then I realized it was only like six in the morning.

"What do you want." I said annoyed I wasn't a morning person even though I'd been up for a while.

"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed." She said as she ducked around me and went into my room. I gave her "your annoying me look" to which she stuck her tongue out at me.

" What? I can't wish my brother a happy birthday. I'm hurt." She said as she fiddled with my rubrics cube. I'd had that thing for years but i could never solve it.

"Seriously what do you want?" I was seriously getting annoyed.

"I am serious. But now that you ask Sarah wanted you." Sarah was my little five year old sister who wasn't as annoying as Grace, but that was just because she was a adorable child to whom you just couldn't say no.

"Why didn't she just come in here like normal?" I asked she normally barges in and jumps on me until i'm awake.

"How should I know?" She said without much interest. I groaned I had hoped for some peace and quiet for a while before all the chaos of my birthday party. I was excited but still I was in for a late night luckily it was Friday so I could sleep in in the morning.

"Oh you know you can't disappoint her." She said. I sighed in defeat and started walking to my bathroom.

"I'll be there in a minuet." I brushed my teeth and cleaned up a bit. When I was done I walked out and Grace was waiting for me. She stood up and placed the rubrics cube back onto my desk next to my bed. It was completely solved and I had to admit that she amazed me sometimes.

We walked down the hallway and opened the door to Sarah's room. I got as far as a foot before Sarah slammed into me with the force of a sack of flour, knocking the breath out of me.

"Travi" She cried happily as she squeezed me tightly. I chuckled lightly at her as she drew back and looked up at me.Travi was her nickname for me since she couldn't say Travis when she was a baby and it had stuck.

"Be careful or you'll break him." Grace joked poking her in the stomach making her giggle uncontrollably. Sarah dragged me over to her small pink bed and pulled a little box from under her pillow.

"Happy birthday Travi." She said as she handed me the box. I opened it to find a blue and green cloth bracelet that was twisted and fastened into a clasp. I put it around my wrist and smiled at her.
