"It is settled then. If you fail to eradicate the threat, only then shall we act. You all are dismissed." I watch as everyone leaves. What a prick.

I also head to leave but then a firm grip on my shoulder stops me.

"And what in the sun's name were you thinking?" Matt says.

"I- I-don't know?"

"Oh really? I've heard that one before. And why did you just take the blame? Why not include me in it?" He asks.

"I-. I need to do this. Something's calling me into that forest and you know it. I've had enough of being the 'weakest sign' and the loser of the cosmos, and this might be the only chance I'll get,"

"You know you're not the weakest, remember that competition held years ago? The one where you got up to the top four with Leo Aries and I? Aires placed a bet and he lost it. He got so pissed." he smiles.

"Still is," I laugh.

"But this does not mean you get to go easily, why did you leave me out. I could help you, I can protect you. Hell, I could maybe even do it for you," He offers.

"It's because of selfish reasons. And I don't want you to know them."

"Just tell me,"he says.

"It's- it's uhm," well here goes nothing, "It's because I love you and I want to know that you'll be safe,"

"What? Come on Troy, we're the deadliest duo here, we're trained warriors," not that love, Matt, "It's embedded in our minds to kill, what's another beast?"

"I have a feeling that some things aren't as they seem. What I feel like I need to say is 'don't let them suppress you,' And I don't want to risk losing you to my own sentence."

"Screw what the elders say, I'll go along with you anyway, what's safety to warriors?" He grins.

I sigh, "Your safety is everything to me, I will keep you safe no matter what, and right now it means that I will have to leave y-"

"What?" He interrupts, "No, I will not let you leave me! What if I want you to be safe as well Troy? What if I want you in my life? What if I-"

"Matt, I promise I'll come back for you an-"

"That's what they said to me too," wait what, shit, no!

"I thought that things would change, that I can start loving freely without people leaving me again. I guess I'm wrong," he says.

"Matt-"

"Save it, I've heard enough. I need space to take this all in." He turned and ran.

Unknown POV

I listen to their bout with an unimpressed expression. They sound like a married couple, pathetic. Seeing the Scorpio leave the Cancer is the best thing I've ever seen. Now Scorpio might head to Pisces' quarter and Cancer to the libraries, they are so predictable. Well at least my plans are taking action, I'll just have to wait for them to take the bait.

I wake up removing my arms from Pisces' body, immediately going back to last night's events. I guess I was pushing Troy a little too far away last night.
