I woke up at 6:30am. 6 bloody 30 in the morning. What am I doing? "Well I guess I should get up then." I huffed and got out of bed. I got a shower, washed my hair, washed my face and shaved my legs. God they were hairier than a werewolfs legs. Yeah, they were that bad. I got changed into a black vest top, black jeans, a white and grey checkered shirt tied around my waist and a white beanie. I went to make myself a hot chocolate but when I went into the cupboard to get it I found that I had ran out. "Shit!" I really wanted a hot chocolate and I was not starting the day without one. "Guess I'm going Jitters."
I arrived at Jitters and got into the queue. Ugghh. The queues like a mile long. Would've been quicker to go shop buy some hot chocolate powder and make it myself. After 5 hours of waiting (note the exageration) I ordered my drink and waited. The barista was called Iris and I noticed it was Barry Allens best friend Iris West, the daughter of detective Joe West. Wow, everyone just keeps popping up. Maybe I should act like their friend, get closer to them, find out all their secrets. Which I probably already know anyway.
"Here you go. One hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows." Iris said with a huge smile on her face. "Thanks..." I looked at her name tag as if I didn't know who she was. "..Iris." I smiled back and she said "No problem it's my job." We both laughed and then she asked me a question I didn't expect. "Hey, are you new here, in Central City? I haven't seen you around before." I smiled and decided to play it off as if I was, even though I've lived here since I was 16. "Er, yeah I am I moved here a couple days ago. I'm so glad I found this coffee shop, I would've died if I didn't get my hot chocolate this morning." I said and we both laughed. "So is hot chocolate like your coffee?" She asked politely. "Yeah, yeah it is. I love the smell of coffee but can't stand the taste of it." She smiled a warm smile and offered to show me round the city if I didn't mind waiting 10 minutes until she finished her shift.
As we were walking out of Jitters the one and only Barry Allen walked in. I had to act as if I didn't know him, which technically I don't but I do if you get what I mean. He seemed in a rush and walked right into me. "Ahh shit!" I screamed. The little speedster had spilt my hot chocolate. "Oh my god are you ok?" Iris asked, her voice laced with concern. Barry looked really embarrassed. "Yeah I'm fine, thanks."
"Barry what were you doing rushing around like that you could've seriously hurt... I'm sorry I completely forget to ask your name." I smiled a small smile whilst debating weather to give my real name or not. Well it's not like they can look me up or anything so why not. "Malaya, Malaya McCarty." She smiled and I noticed Barry blush when I caught him staring at me. Ha I made the Flash blush. God I'm never gonna let him live that down. "I'm really sorry I was in a rush and I wasn't paying attention on where I was going." He said quickly. I continued with my plan of befriending them and smiled lightly and said a small it's fine.Barry ended up coming with us to look around the city and the end of the tour stopped at the CCPD. Ha thats funny. Oh my god, I just thought I can go round telling criminals that I walked straight through the CCPD without being caught. Man this is great.
"Hey sweetie, what are you doing here?" Joe West greeted his daughter. "Hey dad, I was just showing Malaya around town. She's just moved here." She said giving him a quick hug. I stood there awkwardly whilst he looked me over. "Hi." Was all he said. One word. One bloody word not welcome to Central City I'm sure you'll love it, no all he says is 'Hi'. Keeping up with the act I just say hi back and then Iris said we should go up to Barrys lab. I thought this was great. Find out where he works then I can search it tonight just to annoy him. After spending a couple of hours with Iris and Barry I got a text of someone I didn't expect. "Ummm I gotta go."
"Is everything ok?" Iris asked standing up. "Yeah everythings fine just gotta finish unpacking. I'll call you later, heres my number." I gave her my number and walked out at a normal speed. As soon as I got out of the CCPD, I ran down the street and stole a motorbike. I could've gone home and got mine but that's to much effort.
