It was ten years ago today that I, Juliette R. Wheeler, was able to go outside without a security guard at my heels. I had been happily enjoying the 'food' that they had given us at my old school.

It was a day as clear in my memory as if it had just happened days ago. The beginning of June, the most eventful summer of my life. It was also ten years ago that I was allowed to write in a journal without having to get permission to pick up a pencil and write.

~JUNE 12, 2007~

This morning I was rather rudely awakened by the movement of my best friend Chelsie jumping at the foot of my bed and her voice yelling "Wake your ass up, it's the beginning of summer and I refuse to let you sleep through another second of it.We are going out."

"Out as in?" I responded wiping the cold from my eyes. "You'll see, you just have to be patient." That had been the perfect time to put on my panic face because celi's (pronounced chelly) surprises had always involved her trying to set me up with one of her 'single friends'. Which if you hadn't noticed I am most certainly not okay with.

After about an hour and a half of her looking for something for me to wear while I showered and made us breakfast, she had managed to find the shortest black dress on planet earth. "We are going clubbing." She said handing me my dress. "Do we have to?" "Yes, now move your ass Jewels."

As we left my house I let my long brunette curls free out of the messy bun that celi attempted to make allowing them to cover my back that had been left bare by the dresses design. Once we got in the car I automatically had to pull my dress down. 'Thanks celi, thanks.'

AUTHOR'$ NOTESorry that this was a short chapter I just started. If you like it I will continue to write gradually making them longer. Kay peace!
