"This is too fancy, bren." Ryan said, looking around at the restaurant Brendon had dragged him in to.
"So? Can I not take you somewhere nice for our anniversary." Brendon replied, afterwards taking a sip of his red wine. Ryan chuckled and grabbed Brendon's hand from across the table.
"You know "fancy" isn't my thing, B. I'd much rather be at home eating Taco Bell." Ryan said.
Brendon smiled and pecked the others hand. "Shut your ass up and eat that stake I bought you. It wasn't cheap, y'know."

Right before Ryan asked for the check, Brendon cut him off by saying, "hey, wait, can I ask you something?"

Ryan took his gaze from the waitress to Brendon and replied. "Yeah, what?"
Brendon took a shaky breath and got out of his seat, Ryan furrowing his eyebrows.
The waitress' eyes widened. "Oh fuck."

Brendon got down on his right knee and pulled a small velvet box from his pocket.
Ryan gasped and watched as Brendon opened the box, revealing an alluring silver ring.
"Holy shit." Ryan breathed, covering his mouth with his hand to keep him from literally screaming.

"George, I love you more than there are grains of sand on the beach. I don't really know what else to say other than you make me happier than I could ever imagine being, and the thought of being without you breaks my heart. I don't want my heart broken, so could you possibly accept this ring and marry me?"

Ryan chuckled and got out of this seat. "Oh my fucking god, Brendon. Of course I will." He said, watching as Brendon got up from the ground.

Brendon wrapped his arms around Ryan and kissed him gently, rubbing his fingers through Ryan's curly hair. "You don't know how hard I'm trying not to cry, darling." He whispered.

Ryan smiled. "So, before we do anything else, did you rehearse that proposal at all? It was kinda shitty."

Brendon laughed and shook his head. "Nope, I didn't."
