You can run, but you can't hide

Chapter 16

I stood in the middle door with Lauren on my left and Elli on my right. The boys had moved to the stage already to get photos taken together and individually. A voice over a microphone called out

“DIRECTIONERS! I offer your attention to the 3 lovely ladies also attending the opening dinner tonight. We have LAUREN THOMAS, who tonight is Niall’s date and girlfriend.”

Lauren had stepped out, girls were screaming and crying. Probably at the fact Niall is taken. I felt a flash of nerves as it was me to be called next. I looked over at the stage. It was to the right of Elli. The backdrop was just black with ‘One Direction’ written hundreds of times on it in white. Harry looked over and smiled. I couldn’t help but smile back and then the nerves were gone.

“In the next door everyone give it up for CAITLIN ANGUS!” Everyone was screaming and taking photos. It was so weird so I just stood there and smiled. I looked over at Harry thinking he’d be getting photos taken, but instead all the boys stood there and were clapping and screaming too. I didn’t want to smile but I couldn’t stop. I loved the boys, they really are family. I couldn’t believe how much I missed them.

“She’s just seen Louis (her cousin) for the first time in 5 years. These boys are practically her brothers and this 16 year old has it lucky also dating Harry Styles.”

All I heard after that was screaming girls and Louis screaming ‘YEAH HARRY!’ I looked over to Lauren while El was coming out. Lauren was posing for cameras and gave me a wink while laughing. The boys were back to their photos and the girls were screaming and Loz, El and I were getting photos taken by the fans.

“There you are directioners; you better get your cameras ready because we’re going to get some pretty cute photos of the boys and their girls.”

We walked over to the stage and straight away Niall and Lauren went back to talking and holding hands so they got their photos done first.

“Hey beautiful” Harry walked up to me and held my hands for a moment then looked out to the fans and waved a little. “Wasn’t scary?” He asked

“It was weird, defiantly different but no not scary.” I laughed, “And for you?”

“No, I liked this one.” He smiled

“And why is that?” I looked at him right before he looked me in the eyes

“Because you’re with me.” As cheesy as it sounds, my heart was racing. He smiled at me and then kissed me.

“Mr and Mrs Styles can we please hurry it up.” Louis laughed directing us to get our photos taken as everyone has had them done.

Harry grabbed my hand and we got cute photos taken, then I got photos by myself and then the girls got photos and then we all had group photos. I don’t think I’ve smiled for so long in my life. It is allot of work.

“Okay were a few minutes away from talking to this wonderful bunch of talented boys and their beautiful girls. But first were going to take some photos of the crowd yeah! Everybody smile!” The boys got their phones out and took photos and so did all the photographers, cute much.
