We suddenly heard a loud, traumatic scream coming from the trees. We all four stop and look around. We hear the scream again, and we followed the direction from where it was coming from.

As we got closer and closer to the screams, I felt my vision beginning to get blurry and I had really shortness of breath. I began to get light headed and I felt weak. I walked a few more steps before feeling my legs collapse from under me. I utterly heard Carl scream: "ELLA!". I felt my eye lids slowly creeping down the bottom. I struggled to keep them open, but the more I fought it, the bigger a headache grew in my head.

Carl's POV

I turned around to find Ella lying on the ground helpless. The screams continued. Michonne offered to go and find the source of them, while Dad and I stayed back to bring Ella back to consciousness.

My dad hesitated to let her go, because he didn't like our group splitting up especially if it a person going alone. He looked up at her.

"If you're not back in 20 minutes, I will come looking for you. Don't go out of 500 feet from here," Dad said.

Michonne looked at him with a smirk. "Yes, Father," she snarkingly said. She turned around and headed toward the source.

I was trying to find out what was wrong with Ella. I checked her pulse and it felt like her vein was going to pop out of her neck, by how fast her pulse was.

She was burning up and sweating erratically. I walked out to a nearby creek (It's a good think she passed out near a creek), drenched my bandana into it, and ran it over to Ella. I put it on her to try to cool her. Her breathing started calming down at this point, but her heart rate was still fast. My dad handed my an old water bottle. I went to fill it up. When I came back, Ella was beginning to come to. I poured the water on her, anyway. She woke up with a huge inhale breath.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

She shook her head with hesitation.

"You're okay, you just got over heated, and passed out," Dad said. "Are you strong enough to walk?" he asks.

Ella began to try to get up, but she had a charlie horse in her leg. Her body was cramping due to the dehydration.

"Okay, don't sweat it, stay here. I'll be back," He said.

He began walking off into Michonne's direction.

I stayed here with Ella. She began flexing her muscles in all different ways to work out the cramps. I have to admit. She was a pretty muscular girl. She was built like Daryl. She had defined muscles... EVERYWHERE. And they only reason I like she has abs is because her shirt was lifted to her belly button when she fell. I usually don't like muscular girls... well, body builders that were women. But Ella had just the perfect amount of muscle.

I smirked at her as she stood up.

"Where you a gymnast before the world went to shit?" I asked.

She looked at me confused.

"You happen to have an extravagant amount of muscle," I finished.

She shook her head and looked at the ground.

"Dancer...," she said.

"Oh really? Were you any good?" I asked.

"Dixon's don't do anything their not good at," she replied.

Before I could make a smartass comment back toward her, Michonne and Dad came barging through the trees. I saw my dad holding a blonde girl in his arms. She had cuts all over her, and her clothes were drenched in blood.

As they came closer, I could see who it was.

I ran toward my dad. I put my hands on her face and brushed her hair out her face.

It was Beth. I felt tears beginning to roll down my face and onto Beth's. She had cuts everywhere.

"Whoever did this was smart enough not to leave anything behind for her to turn. Her head looks like it was slashed with a knife at least 5 times," Michonne said.

My dad put her down.

"It was her screams, wasn't it," I asked.

"Most probably, her skin is still fresh and so is the blood," Michonne said.

Daniella's POV

"Who is she?" I asked.

"A girl who was in our group. Carl had a close relationship with her," Rick said.

I looked at Carl, he looked so hurt. I walked over to him and hugged him as he looked at Beth's body lying there. It wasn't long before I felt Carl's arms snake around my waist in response to mine. I gently unwinded my arms from him and stepped back.

As I looked into his eyes, Rick says: "I think we should keep moving."

I look up at him. "Wait, no, let's have a service for her."

They all look at me with confused faces.

"She was close to y'all, right?" I said. "So the shit what if it's an apocalypse, respect is still a factor in the world. Especially to loved ones."

Michonne and Rick looked at each other. "Let's make it fast," Rick said.

After we burried her in a nearby hole, we continued to walk toward our destination.
