"Are you sure this is the place?"
Tori gulped as she left the safe enclosure of Elias' civic and stepped out into the street before facing a certain club. Adam's car pulled up shortly and out came Ross, Matty and Philip; "Before you say anything, I'm going to let you know that it is highly possible Elias could've stumbled inside." Philip said as the group gathered up. "Of course it is." shrugged George as he struggled to find the right words to say, "I mean, it's a club for...y'know... yeah."
"Okay, Phil. In you go." Ross suggested as a form of encouragement. "No, I can't." Philip immediately declined, heat quickly rushing up on his face.
"What d'you mean you can't? I'm sure you've been here before, haven't you?" Adam added
"Yes, but you see I really can't go inside." Philip said firmly, "I swore to Elias and I'm not about to go breaking it. Who knows, what if he's not even in there?"
Having felt like they were wasting time, Tori impulsively said, "Oh god, I'll go."
"Tori, are you sure?" said Philip, a tone of worry evident in his voice. "Yeah, how bad could it be?" shrugged Tori in reply. Really, how bad could it possibly be to see two people of the same gender invading each other's personal spaces with affection? She had enough of that from Philip and Elias so it wasn't something she was uncomfortable with. Besides, the way she saw it, humans were under one species, living on one planet, inhaling and exhaling the same gases. Why complicate equality?
As Tori readied herself to go inside, Matty uncomfortably tapped his foot. As he watched her take a few steps away from the group, he finally decided to break the silence he had ensued upon himself, "You can't go in there alone."
10:30 PM
They walked up to the security in silence, stealing occasional glances at each other like cliche middleschoolers. She didn't know what to make of the vibe she sensed from him; it was a mix of nonchalance with a bit of hesitation and irritation in between. He didn't know what words would seem suitable for him to say as his interest in her managed to grow unexpectedly; usually, when a face had caught his attention in the crowd, they'd lock eyes and it would be left at that.
But tonight, things had indeed been different.
Going into the club smoothly as Matty had been previously associated with security. Matty snickered when he noticed Tori's face flush when her attention had been caught by a couple sharing more than a snog by the corner. "Now I know why Elias doesn't want Philip in here." Tori shook her head, trying to erase the memory of when she had walked in on Elias and Philip. Matty, clearly amused decided to keep the conversation alive, "Do you think we should check the comfort rooms?"
"Which one exactly?" Tori joked
"I think it would be safest to check both." They pushed through the crowd, Tori eventually getting shoved onto Matty's shoulder. She almost cursed at the crowd again, had it not been for the fact Matty had impulsively put his arm around her waist to keep her close to him and to prevent her from stumbling further. He put on a faux nonchalant expression to try and convey his worry of her minding, but the thought was put to rest when Tori had thanked them when they finally broke away from the crowd.
10:40 PM
"Elias, are you in here?"
His name had been hollered in comfort rooms for both genders and yet a response had not been given to them. Close to giving up, Tori pulls out her phone in a desperate attempt to try to contact Elias. Stupid, yes it was as she tried in the car and he was out of the coverage area, but it was better than nothing. She cursed as she had accidentally pressed the twitter app instead of her messages, but it turned out not to be so bad when she'd seen a recent tweet from Elias.
