3rd Person POV
"It's been 4 days...don't you think I should've shown signs of pregnancy by now?" (Y/n) asked Andy on the 4th morning of looking at herself in the mirror.
"I'm not sure, honey, but this is a hybrid. We should expect the unexpected...if my DNA even worked, that is." He added the last part with disappointment. "Don't say that. We need to have faith. Like the other thing you said: it's a hybrid. It's not like vampire or werewolf birth, could be a mix of both." (Y/n) peeked at the possible bright sides of the situation.
Speaking of bright, (Y/n) was noticing a little something going on with her skin. It was dewy...it looked like she was wearing a natural, subtle highlight on her skin.
"My skin is glowing...it's never been like this before..." (Y/n) leaned closer to the mirror, wiping at her face and arms where the glow was visible.
It didn't come off on her hand, it stayed in its place. She concluded that it wasn't oily skin...it was some weird thing that her body was doing.
"Could it be a sign?" Andy walked up to her in the bathroom, cupping her face in his hands to study her. "Maybe it is...I gotta write this down somewhere. Maybe it is a sign, I need to keep track of this so other mixed couples will know what to expect." The Queen went to her nightstand and took out a pen and paper. She scribbled what she was experiencing on the paper, then put it back in her nightstand.
"Oh yea...I see the glow now. You look even more radiant." Andy nodded.
He scanned his wife a bit more...something happened to her hair too. "Your hair got longer, like...1 or 2 inches longer." He said, sweeping her hair to her back. "Really? Wow!" (Y/n) put her hair on her shoulder, definitely seeing a difference in length. She added that to her paper.
"Let's make some breakfast, I'm hungry." Andy took her hand, leading her to the kitchen.
There, they were gonna make eggs and pancakes. Making the batter was (Y/n)'s specialty, only she knew what she put in it. It was her secret.
When the batter was done, Andy poured it on a hot pan and made the pancakes.
The syrup was in a cabinet, all the way on the top shelf, (Y/n) decided to get it down. She climbed up on the inverted corner of the kitchen counter and reached up to the top shelf.
While she did that, Andy had been in the fridge for eggs. He took three out and thought that (Y/n) was still on the floor, not standing on the counter for maple syrup. Without thinking or looking at what (Y/n) was doing, he threw them in her direction, "heads up, eggs."
"Andy!" She looked down and saw the eggs flying to the ground. In the matter of a second, she went from standing to doing a front to back split on the inverted corner of the counter, then hanging upside down to catch the eggs, her legs still split to hold herself up. She caught two eggs in her hands and one in her mouth between her front teeth.
"WOOOAAHHH!!! EVERY GYMNAST IN THE WORLD IS QUAKING. How did you do that so fast?!?" Andy's mouth fell open in astonishment.
(Y/n) rolled the eggs on the ground gently, then undid her split position to get down.
"My body did what needed to be done...I didn't even think about doing that. Damn! Reflexes are on point!" (Y/n) smiled victoriously.
---
Later on, (Y/n) went to visit her pack while Andy went to his clan. They always did this at least once or twice a week, quality time with their lifelong friends.
When (Y/n) was about 20 feet from her old house, everyone came running out to meet her. They closed in on her, sniffing her all over. "Hey! Ok," she got uncomfortable, "ok...ok! Back up! No more sniffing, what's up with that?!"
