"Hey Lucas! What are you doing here?"

Riley beamed, coming out of her second period class. She had found it odd that the older boy knew her class room but didn't question it. With her books clutched to her chest she began to walk, a skip in her step. to her third period class. Lucas stepping beside her keeping up easily. He had asked a few students about her class schedule due to his alarm clock being turned off for some odd reason and couldn't talk to her earlier like he wanted to.

"I just need to ask you a question. I'll keep it quick." Knowing that her father class was next. Lucas knew she didn't want to be late dispite the fact that he father always was "I just need-"

"Some advice on asking out Maya?" Riley guessed and laughed when Lucas's mouth opened and closed a few times "You're still ever so predictable Lucas. When yesterday happened I knew you would ask her out tomorrow or well today."

"I'm not that predictable." He grumbled then pouted as Riley continued to giggle.

"Just ask the question Lucas," Riley told him with an earnest expression "The worst she can say is no but I doubt that. She may have left three years ago but I know Maya."

"I know that," Lucas replied annoyed at being left so many years ago.

Stopping her from walking. Lucas surveyed the area before  he gently pushed her backwards towards the empty class room. Making sure no one had noticed them he closed the door behind them. He knew that Riley had known Maya better than anyone. Even after all the years apart. It was why he had came to her in the first place and while he knew her in ways that Riley didn't. He was still nervous of asking out the stong minded girl

"I just don't want it to be cheesy Riley. I want to ask her out after what happened but after being interupted," He gave her a pointed look "I thought it might be better today. I'm going to break up with Rebecca. It was something that was going to Hawn sooner or later and-"

"Lucas," Riley stopped him with a soft smile clutching her books closer to her chest. "You have nothing to worry about. Maya loves you. I hust know it and if you love her then I don't see the problem. Get her something though like a necklace. A charm bracelet. Something to symbolize your love."

Lucas  lips twitched slightly as he thought about what to get her "I don't-"

"You do," Riley told him and made her way to the door only to pause momentarily to look over as he was still deep in thought on what to get her. With a frown she cleared her thrat causing him to snap out of whatever daze and turned to her."Lets not be late Lucas."

With a nod, he walked out of the room behind her. Catching up to he casually threw his arm loosely over her shoulders and gave her a side hug "Thanks Riles."

"You're welcome," She smiled before turning serious nodding towards his arm "Now quit flirting with me Lucas."

"I-" Lucas stuttered surprised, his arm falling off her shoulders instantly. The rambling died from his lips though as Riley began to smile a grin much like Maya when someone fell for one of her traps. With a playful glare, he nudged her side "Riles!"

Riley laughed and shrugged her shoulders causing Lucas to smirk. However there moment was short lived as a familiar snort came from behind them. Turning to the sound; Riley's smiled instantly vanished. Lucas frowned slightly and shifted as he stared at his-ex? The way she was glaring at Riley and the things she had done to Maya. Yeah, she was on the ex list.

So yes, she was an ex girlfriend.

"How cute," Rebecca chirped with an obvious fake smile "Pucas is back on huh?"
