Chapter 6- Sometimes you have to lie

Ethan's POV: I was just about to kiss y/n until someone called my name. "Ethan! Omg! Can I have you sign this?!" A fan yelled running up to y/n and I. I looked over to see a girl maybe thirteen years old and she had short brown curly hair and she had brown eyes. "Oh sure! What's your name?" I asked as the girl handed me notebook that said JOURNAL on it.

"Um its Emma and its so awesome to meet you! Your like my idol! I mean besides Jack,Mark, Felix-gah! I'm babbling I'm just so happy to see you!" She said clearly with excitement. I smiled and signed her journal and then handed it back too her.

"Wait! Are you his girlfriend?! You two are sooo cute together if you are!" Emma yelled. I shook my head 'no'. "No we are just friends" I said. It pained me to even say that.

Your POV:

"No we are just friends" Ethan said. I felt like crying, it broke my heart into a million pieces. He just "friend zoned" me. And its seriously crushing my heart but I can't let my feeling get in the way of our friendship. Even though I want us to be something more I know it won't happen.

The girl then hugged Ethan then left. I sighed and put on a fake smile, "She was nice". "Yeah she was anyways you want to still go to the park?" Ethan asked. "Sure. Why not" I said. And with that we were back on our way to the park.

*At the park*

Ethan and I were sitting on the swings talking like we have known each other for years. But I almost did something extremely stupid that could have ruined our friendship, "Ethan, I need to tell you ask you something" I looked over at Ethan. He then looked at me with concern, "Is everything okay? What is it?". 'No I can't tell him I like him! It will ruin what we have!'

"I wanted to ask you um, will you do a video with me?" I lied. "Oh, y-yeah sure! When?" Ethan asked. Hurt could be seen clearly in his eyes. And it hurt me that I lied to him but I couldn't tell him. "Um maybe a day before the camping trip?" I said. "Yeah sure, that would be cool!" Ethan said with a smile. But I could see that smile was fake.
