~Matt's POV~

Yes, second semester is starting up and there is no part of me wanting to get back to doing homework and writing essays. Although I suppose I do have some fun in other classes.

My schedule changed a bit, second semester meant that my other one semester classes will be starting up, I now have universal theories and language studies instead of computer technologies and robotics. It'll be nice to have a change in the day.

I walked the hallways with my backpack on my shoulders as I listened to music on my headphones. I still had maths first period so I was still walking down the same boring hallway where lockers lined the walls and students were talking amounts themselves before the warning bell rang.

"Matt!" I heard someone say and I look to the side to see River come up to me, no a single book or bag with her.

"Hey!" I said as I removed my headphones and looked at her.

"I get to retake my math course from last year to be able to graduate. So guess who's the new student in your class?" She said with a confident smirk.

"Really? Well that's exciting. Amy's in that class too!" I said to her, happy that I'll get to see her more.

"It will definitely be exciting." River said as she chuckled a little.

We walk into the classroom together just as the warning bell rang. Students came into the class, some familiar faces and others were new. River was the only senior in the class. I wouldn't be surprised if she was kicked out of the class last year or perhaps she dropped out. Who knows?

"Where's Amy?" River asked me.

"She's always late." I tell her, "yeah I'd expect her to still be asleep."

Soon the bell rang and class began, the teacher started writing on the board, and I got out my notebook. I saw River had gotten out her phone.

Let the second semester begin.

~David's POV~

Three classes in and I already feel like I'm going to fall asleep at any moment. I was up late last night talking to Rose. It's funny how Rose has pretty much become a part of every aspect of my life. Some people think that it's weird but I quite like it. I honestly don't know what I'd do without her.

I came up from behind her as she was putting stuff in her locker, I wrap my arms around her and I see her smile.

"Hey, David." She laughed a little, sticking her tongue through her teeth like she always does.

"I've missed you so much since first period." I told her.

"David, it's only been, what, 90 minutes?" She told me.

"I know right!? That's so long." I said and she laughed.

"Are you going to Jack's tonight?" She asked.

"Of course." I said, "wouldn't miss it for the world."

"I heard that The Master will be there." She said.

"The guy who beat up my brother?"

"Yeah, I don't know what he's planning on doing but Jack told me he insisted on coming."

"Then should I expect my brothers to be there?" I asked her as my eyebrows raised up.

"Don't know, why don't you ask them? If Clara's going we should probably expect Matt. The two have been practically inseparable since Honolulu."

"And that means his hot ginger friend will be there too."

"Hey! Stop it, you!" She said and playfully slapped me on the arm, "you keep that up and I might think you're cheating on me."

"Don't worry, I wouldn't think about doing such a thing." I assure her.

"Yeah, you might think about it but I better not see you actually doing it."

I let her go as I hear the bell ring.

"So just don't get caught is what you're telling me?" I joked as she walked away.

"You're not funny!" She said back to me  as she was soon engulfed by the crowd and I lost sight of her.

I smiled and then turned around to go to class.
