Chapter one. {Road trip}

I hate riding on the road. Especially if that means I'm with my parents and in this old rusty moving truck. Every little crack in the road it would bump. After a minute or so the radio would turn on and blast the volume. I hate it. But the comfort of my cat orange and my thoughts kept1 me calm. I was thinking about this mystery home. Will I like it? Is it big? Is it small? Will I like it better than ohio? Or will I like North Carolina? I wasn't sure. I lost track of my thoughts when my mom said to me,

" Lana. I know you are upset about moving but I'm sure you will like our house. We are really trying to make you happy."

I never answered. I just stared at the road beside me thinking, ' I WAS fine at our old house on the lake. I WAS fine with our old live and now I'm NOT FINE with this sudden change.' But I knew how that would make my mom feel. Orange felt my stress ad came up and nudged my arm, smirking at me. Almost like he knew I shouldn't get so mad. I picked him up and cradled him in my arms. I cleared my mind, closed my eyes, and got lost in my train of thoughts...

I was awoken by a huge stop. And I front of me I found a huge castle like house.

"Mom where the heck are we?"

" at our new house!"

"What?!"

"Yes" dad chimed in, " and YOU get to choose the room you want because we really want you like it here..."

"Um ok" I said unsure.

"Well go outside while we unpack" mom said

Me and orange leaped out of the car and wandered into the house. The first thing that Caught my eye was the stairs. They looked like ivory and looked like some type of stairs a ballroom would have in a castle. I ran up the stairs and slid down the rails as if I was Ana from frozen. I could tell orange was nervous. When I cradled him as we slid he had a bug eye stare that made me laugh. Mom and dad came in with my boxes. Their eyes lead me upstairs. It was time to choose what room I can call mine.
