Jordan's POV
My mother and I just finished packing up our car for the move to Baylie's place.
It'll be sad for me at first, being as it was a year ago today that Baylie died, but, I'm eternally grateful that Baylie gave us her house, and money.
Amanda's POV
The precinct has never been the same since Baylie died, it's been quiet, and not as much crimes have been committed.
I think Baylie's work has honestly spoke to more than enough people.
Cragen came into the room. "I have found a replacement for Baylie!"
We all got super upset. "Captain! What, how could you do that!?" He smiled and hushed us.
"She'll be here any second now, so please treat her with respect." We nodded, and sat silently, when another 15 year old entered the room.
"Hi, I'm Bri-Elle. Or, Ella." Then it clicked. Baylie ALWAYS talked about having a little sister, and how they looked so much alike that everyone thought they were twins.
"You're Baylie's little sister. I'm Amanda." I said, standing up, walking over, and extending a hand.
She laughed lightly and shook it. "I know who you are, Amanda. As well as all of you. I've heard all good things." She said, smiling.
Baylie brought her work home with her. Wow. "Ella!!" A young voice yelled, hugging her waist from behind.
She sighed and picked him up. "Eli buddy, I told you to wait in the car with Ashleigh. Sorry guys, I guess he wanted to say bye one last time. After what happened to Baylie, I don't blame him."
"Bye Ella! Love you!" He called, as who I presumed to be Ashleigh took him out the building.
"So sorry. It won't happen again. It's just that Baylie was is favorite out of four sisters, so he isn't exactly ready to lose another." She explained.
We all smiled in understanding. "Anyways, paperwork. Will I be taking Baylie's desk?" She asked, walking over to see a picture of her and Baylie with who I guessed was Eli when 2 years ago.
She smiled lightly. "Yes. Get to your paper work, Gates." Cragen said and walked out.
"Gates?" Nick asked, confused as to why Baylie's last name was Otero. She couldn't have been married.
"Oh, um. That's a story for another time. Oh look, Liv. Someone needs to see you in your office. Got to get to work now."
Well she avoided the question.
Stella's POV
It's a sad thing, death. Once we all heard about Baylie's, we all flew in from various places to attend the funeral.
We haven't left yet. We couldn't. By we I mean, Julia, Nicole, Hannah Morgan, Hannah Morin, Lucy, Kat, Sammy, Kaitlynn, Kate, Jack, Maya, Nate, Maggie, Janinia, and Haley.
She meant a lot to us, and we really wanted her to come with us and persue writing, but she wouldn't, and she died because of it.
Robin's POV
Jordan's friend Baylie, she was possibly the nicest person alive.
She gave her life, to save my son's and I's.
"Jordan! We're here!" I said, taking the key and unlocking the door.
It was spotless. White couches and chairs, a black flat screen, white walls, and a polished hardwood floor for the living room.
The kitchen was huge. It was a white tiled floor, dark wood counters, cabinets, and islands with marble countertops. A black stove, fridge, and microwave.
There was three bedrooms. Master, second, and guest. 3 and a half baths. Plus the attic and basement.
Everything was spotless, clean, and pristine.
I brought my little purse to the master and set it on the neatly made bed.
Jordan went the the other room. I went to the kitchen and opened everything.
It was stocked. I pulled out three boxes of lasagna. One was open. Weird. I dumped it on to the counter.
A bunch of stacks of money fell out with a piece of paper.
I unfolded the piece of paper.
Dear Mrs.Wolf, and or Jordan.
This money is all for you two. I know the situation you're in and it isn't fun.
There is at least 10 grand. I lost count after that. However, this is only for bills and food.
There is more hidden somewhere in case of robbers. It's in the huge safe in the basement. No one but me, and soon Jordan knows the combo.
Jordan, sweety, check the bookshelf in your room. Only Jordan will understand, Mrs.Wolf.Sincerely Yours, Baylie.
Ella's POV
I was finishing up my paperwork for the day when Liv ran out of her office.
"WE HAVE A CASE! Missing girl, 16. Name is Winter Nicholoson. She has been officially missing for 48 hours. Long, blond hair, fair skin. Green eyes. Get to work, Ella, not your case."
I walked over to Liv. "Liv, can I speak with you?" She nodded and took me to her office. There I saw Mr and Mrs Nicholson.
"Oh, Ella dear! Are you on this case! That'd be a huge relief." Cheri asked.
"No, not yet, Cheri. But, that's what I'm talking to Liv about. Liv, I know more about missing kids then you ever will. And if it takes the story about the last name to prove it, then so be it."
Liv nodded, telling me to move on. "Baylie was the middle child. She was ignored. (A/N NOT TRUE) So, she ran away when she was 13. The day of, actually. She then had her name legally changed. Them, she finished school early and got a job here."
Jordan's POV
I was in the middle of unpacking when my mom slid something under my locked door.
I walked over and picked it up. It was from Baylie. I had to check my bookshelf?
I walked over and saw dozens of books. Which is it!
Flashback
"So, what's your favorite book?" Baylie had asked me after she ate.
"Change Of Heart, by Jodi Picoult. Yours?" I replied. She smiled.
"Shade Me. Jennifer Brown."
End.
