Today was the day. The day where all hell broke loose, figuratively speaking that is, in heaven. Today was April First, better known as April Fool’s Day. And this year was the year that (Name) would come out on top over Lucifer and Gabriel. (Name’s) train of thought however was broken as Gabriel came rounding the corner into the same hall as her. Inwardly smirking (Name) put on a sweet innocent smile and ran over to Gabriel.
“Hey, Hey! Gabriel I got you a present.” (Name) Cooed as she blocked the path of hallway. She watched him carefully gauging his look of surprise before it settled into something more questioning.
“Oh, and just what would that be (Name) dearest?” He questioned one of his eyebrows arched high onto his forehead while the other was furrowed. Then with a smile the female pulled a candy bar out of her jacket pocket and held it out towards him. Gabriel grinned broadly and stared at it with an intent hunger before reached out to take it but stopped realizing something, and his smile changed into a smirk.
“Nice try, but it’ll take something more than devious than that to beat me.” He then smirked and slid past her and into his room. Once he passed her (Name) smirked devilishly and pulled the wrapped off the candy and began to eat it and then went to enjoy the show.
Peeking under his door into his room she was delighted to see that he had indeed gone straight for his candy stash in order to satisfy his sweet tooth. She watched him her face pressed to the wooden floor; he was stuffing his face with about five chocolate bars. Then he let the fifth fall from his hand onto the floor its wrapper only half peeled off. Then she heard it, his stomach began gurgling loudly and with barely any time to react she moved out of the door way just in time. Gabriel slammed the door open and ran down the hall into the bathroom, where for several hours his groans could be heard.
“Who knew that those laxatives were so strong? Oh well; Anyway, one down and one to go.” The (H/L) (H/C) female ran down the hall to set in motion her next prank, she could only hope that this one would go quite as well. (Name) jumped down the stairs several steps at a time and made it to the living room a mere second after Lucifer left to grab a snack. She grabbed the remote and changed the channel to something he absolutely hated, princess movies. She’d been staring at the screen for only a few seconds before she felt his presence enter the room again. He paused and stared at her bitterly for a moment before stating, “Hey, I was here first, so why don’t you hop up and hand the remote back over.”
“No.”
“No?” he questioned already starting to get frustrated, or so she guessed by his tone.
“Yep.” She confirmed forcing herself to mouth not to turn upwards into a smirk.
“I was here first (Name). Give me the remote.” He stated stepping towards her in a faux threatening manner.
“You weren’t in here when I came in Luci, thus you left, and thus I took the remote.” She held it up in the air for him to see not tearing her eyes from the screen. Out of the corner of her eye she saw him set down his food very slowly, and then in a movement of blinding speed he lunged for the remote. But having been ready the shorter female jumped up and away from him till she was facing him on the other side of the living room, her (E/C) eyes taunting.
“Oh, you want this do ya’ Luci?” She teased dangling the remote between her index finger and thumb. “Well you’ll have to catch me!” She finished before taking off, the male angel hot on her tail and gaining fast. (Name) ran out the front door and hurried down the steps, evading her trip wire just barely.
Lucifer was not quite as lucky, his foot caught on the wire snapping it. Having heard it he froze and looked up at her from his crouching position at the bottom of the steps. Slowly a smirk spread across his face and he straightened and stated, “Ah…I see now, well I have-“ The angel however was cut short by several things happening in quick succession. First a bucket of maple syrup dumped onto of him leaving him a sticky mess. Next much to (Name’s) amusement came the feathers which were dumped from just above him by Castiel and Balthazar who were sitting on the roof grinning. They’d agreed to help, Castiel because he was (Name’s) best friend and Balthazar because he wanted the prank kings to have a taste of their own medicine. Then as Lucifer was standing there semi-stunned she approached and strapped a ‘beak’ on him before backing up and snapping a picture, Castiel and Balthazar appearing next to their older brother just in time to join in the picture, and Gabriel opened the door just in time to join in too.
The female angel paused to look at the picture and giggled at the expressions, Balthazar was standing with his arms crossed and looked rather pleased at Lucifer’s appearance, Cas was looking a bit bewildered at everything going on, Gabriel was clutching his stomach looking grumpy, and Lucifer was just standing there a bored look on his face.
“Heh, I think I’ll put this on my wall….” (Name) said to no on in particular but jumped slightly when someone put their arm around her. Looking up she saw Luci looking at the picture, his feather coated arm resting heavily on her shoulder, some of the maple syrup seeping between the feathers and onto her shirt making her groan inwardly.
“You know (Name) darling…” Lucifer started, his velvety voice much to calm for what just happened. Little red lights and sirens began to go off in her head as she gave him an uneasy smile.
“U-uh yes….?”
“…I do believe you have your dates mixed up. Tomorrow is April first.” And with that a wicked looking smirk spread across his face.
