Rae sat alone on his couch. The house was hollow and dark. He was switching between channels; finding nothing to entertain him. Feeling bored, he switched off the television. Rae went to Thomason's room. The room seemed odd. He remembered when Sara was playing with Thomason with his building blocks.

"Look mommy, I have built an aeroplane. I want to fly in an aeroplane one day,"said Thomason.

"Well, I can make you fly right now,"said Sara as she picked Thomason up and ran around with him.

"Sara? Thomason?"cried Rae.

But it was just a memory, a flashback.

"What have I done to my son? He is just a victim. He lost his mother at a young age. I made him suffer even more."
Rae started to cry and hit his head against the wall. He then went to the bathroom.

"I can't even look at myself in the mirror."

Rae slowly opened the cabinet and took out a medicine he was taking. He started to swallow one at a time till he finished it all. Then he layed on the ground waiting for the pills to do their job. Soon after, he was found dead.

Days later, the police arrived after a call from the neighbor, who visited Rae couple times the past few days and found no response. The police officer broke inside the house after knocking and shouting but it was of no use. The police officer found Rae dead on the bathroom floor.

He searched the house for any clue if he had any family member or a close friend. He found one of Thomason's books in which was written Thomason full name; Thomason Caldwell. After days of researching, the police station were able to locate Thomason's apartment.

Thomas was about to sleep when he heard a knock on the door.

"Are you Thomason Caldwell?"asked the police officer.

"Yes, I am. What brought you to my apartment this late night?"

The police officer took off his hat and said,"I am sorry to inform you that Rae Cardwell was found dead. It was a suicide that was caused of overdosed medication."

Then the police officer left. Thomason didn't know what to feel; should he feel happy and relieved that the one who caused him such agony was finally gone or to feel sad that his father just died. There were no tears coming out of his eyes. That night he wasn't able to sleep. Next morning Julia visited Thomason as usual.

"You look so tired. Didn't you sleep last night?"asked Julia, concerned.

"No I didn't."

"Why? Did you have a nightmare?"

"A real life nightmare. Yesterday, my father was found dead. I don't how to feel; should I feel relieved or sad? To be honest, I am not feeling as sad as I should be. Maybe because he didn't do his role as father."

Julia agreed with what he said and told him that it was normal since he was more of a scary and abusive criminal rather than a loving and caring father. Thomason thanked Julia for being there for him and helping him through rough times.

"Julia, I want to go to my dad's house. Would you like to accompany me?"

"Yes, sure."

Thomason got dressed up and then drove to the house. The house was as Thomason left it; filled with emptyness mixed with memories of violence. He went to his room and took the picture of his mom.

"Who's that pretty lady in the picture?"asked Julia.

"That's my mom,"replied Thomason, "do you know why I fell in love with you Julia?"

"Why?"

"Because you remind me alot of my mom. You have the same radiant smile that would light up the world and the same warm arms filled with love. That's why when I lost you, I couldn't forgive myself. I lost my mother and I didn't want to lose you too. You're the only person left for me in this world; I have got no one else but you. Thank you Julia for giving me one more chance. I promise I won't mess it up."

Julia froze on her place. She didn't know what to do or what to say. Thomason hugged her.

"Let's return go back home. I just came here to take the photograph and see this house for one last time."

They left and went back to the apartment.

"Thomason, if you don't mind, could you tell me more about your mother?"

"Of course. My mom had a long brown hair. She had a big heart. Whenever she got the time she would visit sick children at the hospital. She also used to feed the poor. My mom cared for every living organism but herself. She used to neglect herself a lot. My mother worked as a tailor and used to sew for me the most wonderful clothes. I really do miss her. Sometimes I would think; if she was still alive I would introduce you to her."

"I am so sorry Thomason. Don't worry she and John are in better place now."

Thomason nodded his head. Julia spent some time with Thomason and then returned back to her house.
