many trails for one crown

prologue

In a land long ago lived a king and his son known as prince Cryaotic but many knew him as cry.

The kingdom was ruled injustlly by the tyrant king, many feared him such as the prince did for he knew first hand of his father's cruelty.

For those that didn't fear the king's rath they fought against it and his rule, the brave men and women that fight for freedom call themselves " The Brotherhood of the Thorns".

The one that runs the band of rebels is unknown but many of the guards and knights that serve the king say that they would fear to come across the leader of the rebellion alone.

The prince thought of a plan to flee the confinement of the castle and told but only two trusted souls of his plan, One be a dear friend that worked in the castle as a chamber maid and the other was the one the prince fell in love for and who he kept in secret.

The prince told them that in only two nights time that he would flee from his father's rule and his kingdom, the dear friend said that she would distract the gaurds on patrol so leaving would be easier and also gave him a cloak that was torn at the bottom and tattered with small holes at the hood and the lover of the prince told him he would meet him and run away with him to live out their days.

The prince suggested that they Meet at the base of the old Willow tree were they first met, as they both agreed and kissed before going there separate ways for that night for it would be there last.

The night after last met the prince overheard two gaurds discuing some matter. One gaurd said that they found the one spreading the information about the kingdom to the rebels the other gaurd said he had red hair, a flannel hood, and glasses and that the king decreed that he be banished to the darkest and deadliest part of the forest.

Having heard this news the prince said nothing and squrried back to his room in a panic he didn't know what he would do and he feared what would happen to his love?

A few hours later the prince's friend came to the prince's Chambers to check on him and found him weeping on his bed, she walked closer to the prince and comfort him to assure the prince that he would be with his beloved, the prince turned and hugged her and smiled.

The prince told her that he will be leaving that night not only to flee but to save his love, his friend nodded and told him to wait till midnight to leave and the prince agreed and with a final hug they both parted ways.

Nightfall comes and the prince rises and moves from his bed to the door placing the cloak on and peeking from the door to see if it's clear then snakes down the halls and crept down the stairs to the front doors of the castle, he hesitated in front of the door thinking of what the consequences will be if he is caught, after a moment he remembered what was at stakes.

The prince opened the door and walked out closing the door behind him gently to make no sound then ran down the stone path to the bridge where he sees two gaurds on it, the prince thought how could he pass now? just then he remembered of the stepping stone path along side of the bridge that was ingulfed in shadows .

As he sneaked to the side of the bridge he realized the gaurds voices as the ones that talked of his love, the prince carefully walked across the stones making sure not to fall in the river and after crossing he maid a dash for the gate.

He stopped and saw a heard of servant​s and knights leaving for the night, the prince ran and sneaked his way in the crowd and walk though the gate, as he got far enough away from the gate he separated and walked to the town below and that mark the beginning of our story.
