5: Where is my voice?

I had trouble falling asleep just thinking about the plane emoji. I was just thinking what he meant about it but I just thought it was a joke. A joke that I would never forget.

I woke up freezing. I was all covered up with my favorite blanket that I had at home since I was a baby. You might think that it's a small blanket or that I'm such a child but who cares I really love this blanket. I stretched my arms and body how it felt so good sleeping in the floor in the hospital. My dad was laying in the sofa and my mom was resting in bed. I love these two with all my heart. I would do anything to keep them alive and close to me. I would die for them.

"Honey are you awake" my mother asks
"Yes mà, I'm awake" I replied
"So you never told me how is Arizona"
"Mother don't worry about it, what matters is you being ok"
"Angelica, are you not telling me something?" She was concerned about her daughter.
"No mother, everything is fine"please mom don't ask please I begged.
"Ok honey, I just want to let you know if something isn't going ok with anything or your relationship just let me know, I want you to be happy honey, life is to short to not enjoy it".

"Thank you mother, your the best, you know that I would never keep nothing from you" tears were falling from my eyes. I hugged my mom tight and she kissed my cheek.
"I'm very lucky to have you as my daughter, I love you angel".
"I love you too, mom"
" you guys are very chattytgis morning that you didn't let me sleep more time". My father replied with a smile.
Me and my mother were smiling and giggling.
"Sorry honey, I just missed our daughter so much that we just needed to catch up".
We were having a conversation for a while until we heard a knock and the door open, it's when a nurse came to the room.
"How are you this morning ma'am?" The nurse asked my mother.
"I'm good" my mother said
" let me check you pressure this morning because yesterday it was a little too high than normally " she said with a smile.
She grabbed my mothers arm carefully and wrapped it. She heard the heartbeat and looked at the pressure. She smiled and said "wow today you have a normal pressure I guess having your daughter here made you less worried". My mom started to smile. I hold my moms hand a rubbed it.
"Nurse I was wondering when my mother could leave?"
"She could leave when she's ready I just need to bring the paper work and that would be all"
My mother and father had smiles in there faces. When the nurse came back we signed the paperwork and left the hospital. We arrived home and set her in her bed.
"I'm thankful having a caring husband and daughter, I couldn't wish for more"
"Awww mom your the best "
My father was there smiling and holding her hand. He kissed her cheek and hugged her.

" I'm going to be in the kitchen if you guys need anything". I told my parents.
"Ok honey" my father said.

I was in the kitchen making some food that I know it would be good for my mom. I was making her some chicken noodle soup that she loved. I put my favorite song by The Weekend 'can't feel my face' how I love that song. While I was waiting for the soup to boil I hear the bell ring.
Who would that be? I wondered. I went to the door and opened it. When I saw who it was I couldn't blink. My eyes were focused in that person. My breathing started to stop. My legs were numbed.
"You missed me babe".
In that moment I knew I had to think carefully and not make a scene. I had to control my self because my parents were here. I couldn't speak my voice couldn't come out.
"Cat got your tongue Angelica" with a smirk in his face. But he kept going..
"I did warned you babe, but you didn't listen, I changed my mind about two days of waiting was too long, so instead I was like, let me surprise you in your parents house, so I could show my love and support" he said while smirking.

His blue eyes were staring at my own. He was reading me. He knew me too well.

In that moment I didn't know what to do.
